Just something to kill the international break boredom.
The rules:
You have to have seen them play for us.
And each 11 represents your best team who represented us in the 1st tier, the second tier and third tier of the pyramid.
My 1st tier team would be:
Begovic
Johnson
Huth
Shawcross
Pieters
Whelan
N'Zonzi
Arnie
Bojan
Shaq
Fuller
(Etherington and Pennant would have made it if I went 442)
My second tier team would be:

(DeGoey over Crossley because he was here longer)
Third Tier team:

(Struggled keeper wise with this one. Fox and Sinclair I don't have strong memories of and Cutler just seemed like a steady cruiseship when we got promoted)

Not for me - simply because we played him left wing and nobody is dislodging Hoekstra for me. Diao was close though. I might consider dropping Delap for Diao because at that level he was class. Whelan missed out in my second tier one because he was only here for half the season. Manhoef will sneak in if he surpasses Liam Lawrence's goals and assists tally in the promotion season. |

Quite a story when you think about it, and one that will probably never be seen again. We were a top flight club and we signed him from the Vale who were Division 4 (League 2 in modern terms) at the time. We put him straight into the team, and he made his debut against Arsenal who had Kenny Sansom in their side who was the best left back in the country at the time. Time can play tricks on your mind, but I’m sure anyone who was in the Victoria Ground that day will back me up when I say Chamberlain was magnificent. We won the game, and within a month Bobby Robson had called him up for the England squad. A meteoritic rise to say the least . |

As for third tier keepers, Brucie Grobelaar & Jason Kearton were pretty good in the nets. Hard to imagine a loan like that happening nowadays.
