If you want to sit fine but people around me who wanted to stand had to sit down because people who wanted to sit were on the 5-10th row , killed the atmosphere in our section. Would be no problem if it was on the front row I'd just take the loss with this one fella.

If any old person or someone with mobility issues asks me to sit down I just abuse them verbally, then take them down into the concourse under the pretence of buying them a coffee, and just leather them senseless. They're then given an appointment for the statue for the next home game where I promise to finish the job i've just started Trust me, they don't ask again. *Just incase people have any issues with satire - this post is exactly that. No immobile or old people were hurt by this post or the author of this post... I think that you're sailing close to the wind as far as social media 'Hate Speech' is concerned, claiming satirical licence is no excuse. Get a life, Christ almighty. Pathetic.

Fair point - an attempt at humour that could possibly be taken incorrectly. Have deleted the original post. I think pushon was being tongue in cheek too………at least I hope for humanitys’ sake they were. Regardless, no way you should’ve deleted in case someone is too retarded to understand satire.

I’ve been going away few seasons now When the kids were younger always bought tickets at the front I would say first 6 rows on average would be seated Now they are older they can see standing and we go whenever Can’t say as we ever had any problems Doesn’t it say on the website when you order tickets those wishing to sit should buy 1st few rows? Surely then everyone would be happy?

When i was in my teens i would always respect the elderly or infirm. What went on after the game was fair dinkum with the away fans. I'm talking 70s/80s but respect has gone out the window. I blame the parents Fair dinkum?? Where are you based? Smallthorne

Haven't been away for a few years now but could it be organised that the first ten rows are for sitting.? Or something like that. Wrighty or wrongly stoke state on the ticket website when buying tickets for the away section that if you wish to sit to try and buy tickets at the front, whether everyone does or can if tickets have sold fast who knows on a match to match basis.

Reluctantly, well seriously reluctantly I went to a Kylie concert and my wife insisted that the people in front us “sat down” stating “my husband can’t see”, honestly I could crawled up my own arse when she said it as loads of lads turned around and gave me daggers. Not much point being at a Kylie concert if you can’t see, that wife is a keeper

I'm more interested in what a load of lads were doing at a Kylie concert.

It used to be easy, terraces for people who want to stand and move around, seats for people who want to sit.
Its strange how obliterating choice passes as progress.

Difficult one. I go away games in the full expectation that I will be standing all game which is exactly what I would choose to do.
If people wish to sit, if they've been away games before, which if they've travelled to Plymouth most likely will have done, then it's common sense to get tickets near the front. That said they are also within their right sit wherever and the away section should not strictly be standing, unless allowed by the club.
I've been games previously when the first few rows have sat and I've almost felt obliged without anyone asking to sit down incase of the people behind. My advice is get seats as far back as possible if that's what you want.

I don’t want to be told to sit down as it is shit at away games 10 rows back is still the front....

It was better then, the poor stood while the rich sat. Now it's all this equality bollocks making the poor sit, just like their betters, trying to make them feel just as useful as their masters! 😁

Fair point - an attempt at humour that could possibly be taken incorrectly. Have deleted the original post. I think pushon was being tongue in cheek too………at least I hope for humanitys’ sake they were. Regardless, no way you should’ve deleted in case someone is too retarded to understand satire. I was pointing out that statements like this, on Social Media, are not necessarily perceived as harmless and amusing as the poster intended. The current powers that be, seem to have an appetite for pursuing undeniable advocaters of Social Injustice. Clothing it as satire, doesn't make it any less damaging to the intended targets, or acceptable.

No I think it's right that I deleted it. My initial post was meant as a light hearted jibe at the OP for what I think is a pretty poor post, but in doing so I made a post myself that pushon has rightly flagged as one that could be taken the wrong way. I like to try and bring a bit of humour to the board where I can but I've got no issues with being told if it's otherwise. I've got no intention of causing any offence. 👍

Given your attitude Banksy, I’d have you nailed on as someone who doesn’t sit in their allocated seat anyway.
I can’t remember the last time I sat in my allocated seat at an away game, if we’re boozy and know we’re gonna be standing we grab seats as high as we can.
If we’re on a quieter one we tend to sit nearer the front.

All people who want to sit at away games should be rounded up like cattle and shot like pigs.

I like to stand up next to my sofa and watch TV

not one of them was old, or disabled. I’m not traveling all the way to Plymouth to sit down. Do we have more fans that struggle to stand than other clubs 🤔 not many clubs sit down at away games Grow up. For once, I agree with Bayern, don’t get the stand up machoism in the first 12 ish rows when it’s obvious people have bought those tickets to specifically sit down, as suggested by the club. But hey, I’m ok so who gives a fuck.

The intended target was the original poster, NOT disabled people. If someone doesn't understand the intention/context of a joke and gets offended, well that's a shame but offense does not (or should not) give you a right to attempt to impose censorship on another's speech. You have a right to be offended, but you don't (or at least shouldn't) have a right not to be offended.
