haha Rooney looking more and more like Shrek right now. Hes literally turning green I like Rooney. I think he is a good bloke. Plymouth should be encouraged by that performance. That was how it should be!

BBC match report calls us “big spending Stoke”. Not sure where they get this from….Johannson, Bocat, Gallagher, Lawal and Seko were all undisclosed (only two of them played today) plus 4 loans and 1 free 🤷♀️

Thought Junho was more of a threat on the left, which I'll reiterate, has been his best position in a Stoke shirt. He's got to fit as many of the attacking players who provide a goal threat into the team as possible which will involve some compromises. Learning to play a role where he needs 360 degree awareness will improve Junho as a player in the long term. That's the only way I can see of having them all on the pitch with Cannon in place of Mmaee.

Overall a mixed start in the league, but for the first time in 6 years there does feel like there are green shoots 🌱🌱 of recovery on the way.
Young, exciting squad.

Their keeper was good and was he called Sissoko out wide?
Nice kit also
Apart from that they'll have a massive battle to stay up and that bloke who looked like a fat Pers Morgan on their Your Tube thing who was mocking us last year, needn't worry about us for much longer. He looked like he gets beaten up by Girl Guides in his spare time anyway

From the BBC Match Report:
Million Manhoef cut in from the right to drill into the bottom corner for the winner on 83 minutes as big spending Stoke, who beat Middlesbrough 5-0 in the Carabao Cup in midweek, won away from home for the second time in five days.
……………
Big spending? I wouldn’t say we have spent big 😂

Well, that was a relief. He gambled with that team, we fluffed a few chances early on, they came back at us and Viktor made a few decent saves, only for Milly to score a far harder one that those he missed early on. Deserved win on the whole, and this young attacking team could be a very good watch this season.
Add Lawal, Cannon, Seko too.......

Such a joy to have a young team winning.
We need to be patient though, being young they will make mistakes.
But by the second half of the season we could be really motoring as they gel together as a team. Young players have so much more potential to improve.

Always great to get an away win. It was an enjoyable game of football to watch. To be honest though we only won in the end because Manhoef can shoot. It could have ended up a win, draw or loss. And Plymouth look pretty nailed on for relegation at the moment. Ill enjoy the win tonight but also not get too buzzing and ahead of ourselves. Theres a LOT we need to improve on to be competitive. Manhoef proved throughout the game that his shots were pretty poor. We scored from a 'freak' effort. Before the goal we missed multiple opportunities because we can't shoot. I was really frustrated with our finishing capabilities today...so many wasted chances! Having said that, I was very impressed with the chances we created and am quite confident going forward.

Why was Phillips taken off? I thought he played much better than Wilmot! Think it’s a stamina thing with him. When he signed a lot of Plymouth fans said he’d get subbed off around 70 mins because he was knackered

Still we kept a clean sheet and got the 3 points though!

Wank substitutions End of How are they? Koumas and Phillips will be knackered after playing mid week, and in Koumas' case a lot of football in a short burst and people have been on Mmaee's back since about 20 minutes in. In terms of players coming on, who else really is there to bring on? We've got 5 Academy kids in there. GOAL MANHOEF!!! GET IN! Gooch got caught twice on his wrong foot again I get making subs but he’s pressuring the team by playing players in the wrong positions And why not tezgel instead of Ennis At least he looks interested

Really good performance again.. stayed solid when we needed to a defended well when they were on top.
Should’ve been more clinical 1st half.
So refreshing not watching Laurent , Thompson in midfield.
Though burger was excellent holding. Million a threat from start to finish.
Phillips / wilmot both v solid.
Sidibe impressed in cameo too..
So much good out of 2 performances this week.
