So onto Plymouth then…
Local one for me and looking forward to it, went last year and staying over this time and heading down the Barbican after. Let’s hope we get a striker in before Saturday. Had two men sent off Saturday and Rooney got them trying to play expansive footy so not expecting them to sit back. Should really be getting back on track before the international break.

Closest one for me too but health issues mean I can’t go. You just know that Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth will be gifted their first three points courtesy of the charity that is Stoke City.

Recalling that Wayne Rooneys Derby rinsed us a few years ago, I fully expect us to give Wayne Rooneys Plymouth there first league victory next week, when the old charity bus trundles into town.

First mention this season of The Charity Bus....better whip out the image of it rolling down the M5 past Caerwrangon, on its way to Devon then!

Wonder if they are flying straight down to the south coast, would make sense. Supposed to be warm towards end of week down there, would be ideal.

Normally, a result like 4-0 flatters a team when you look at the stats. Last night, for example, Boro were on top for large periods and maybe even had the better chances, but almost every chance we had went in. They actually had better xG, funnily enough.
Plymouth's stats from the opening day against Sheffield Wednesday were comical. 4-0 actually flattered Plymouth. Wednesday had 31 (!) shots, 11 shots on target and xG of 4.68.
They then had a bore draw against Hull where neither side created much of note and somehow hung on for a 1-1 draw against QPR, where the numbers were pretty similar to the Wednesday game: 30 shots conceded, 10 shots on target conceded, xG score of 2.17 - 0.14.
By all accounts, they were dreadful against Watfodd last night, albeit with a much-changed team. Beaten by two clear goals with lots of chances conceded and barely any created.
I suppose what I'm saying is that this is a really good time to play them and they should be there for the taking if we get it right. They were a 'nice' tram last season, which you hope would suit Junho, Million, Koumas and Moran.

Johansson
Tchamadeu Phillips Gibson Bocat
Burger Sidibie Moran
Manhoef Koumas Bae
Would like to see that side although I’m pretty sure the managers favourites will be back in.

Bae isnt in the best team right now on form and balance and it’s a conundrum going forwards Koumas is better on the left and Moran a better 10

Think it will be tough, would be great to shove it up Rooney though. I hope you aren't talking about your sausage.

Just play him on the left as an inside forward. Plymouth won't be able to cope with that front 3 and hopefully Schuey knows it.

Would love Sol to start. Last night he looked more than comfortable and I was particularly impressed with his range of passing. Optimistic about his future if he’s handled right and develops as he appears to be.

Johnansson Tchamadeu Philips Gibson Bocat Moran Burger Bae Million Mmaee Koumas
Burger and Bae not in form yet but worth giving game time because they'vw shown how good they can be at this level.
I think with players around him who can create chances Mmaee might well come good.

We won't stick with the same team. Can't see Sidibe or Tezgel starting either. If Mmaee is staying I think he'll play. We have options now and the youngsters will play their part.

I'd rather they get home, couple of night with their families and head off on Friday morning, it will be about 4 hours on a coach that's all. Always used to train it for long journey away matches, then the official coach collects them from the station & takes them to the booked local hotel. Flight to Exeter and then a 45min journey to outskirts of Plymouth would be best option & cut our fair amount of travelling time, & risk of getting stuck on the M5 at its numerous hold up locations. At least it's International Break for vast majority straight afterwards, not usually a fan of them but think the squad deserve it after the week of matches and traveling they've had this last 7x days
