Didn’t watch the game yesterday but just seen the highlights. For me junior shouldn’t play for us again until he’s either ready or wakes up, and Wilmot can’t find a stoke shirt. He’s unfortunately going to cost us games no effort to get back when he’s out of position and no real urgency to close down his man, we need a RB |

I can't see many changes, Gooch for Koumas could be the only change. I doubt Bae will start, he will likely come on as a 2nd half sub again until he gets back to full fitness.

4231 (it always seems to serve us the best) Vik (terrible game but got to stick with him) Junior (bad couple of games but this is how you develop players. Can't throw them under the bus so quickly) Gibson Wilmot Bocat (OK at home, bad at Watford. Needs time) Burger (bad start, tweak in formation could help. He's our best midfielder at the end of the day) Thompson (undropable for now. Reassess when lawal is fit.) Manhoef Moran Koumas Mmaee (if he's fit enough) I think Laurent and Baker go missing far too often for 4-2-3-1 to be a reliable setup for us, though Lawal as a deeper-lying, aggressive box-to-boxer alongside Burger has potential. But with Lawal out, we need Bae back in central midfield. I don't know why you left him out of your side, but I would bring in Bae for Thompson as the attacking 8. He'll add much needed physicality and dynamism into central midfield that we were missing against Watford. Burger needs to be deeper as the orchestrating 6, and Moran as the hybrid 8/10. |

Gooch - Not ideal, but Junior is struggling
Wilmot - No alternative
Gibson - Automatic pick at the moment
Bocat - Automatic pick
Burger - needs to pull his socks up
Thompson - toss of a coin with Laurent
Manhoef - Automatic pick
Junho - need to play him in his best position
Koumas - deserves a chance
Mmaee - Tezgel not ready yet. Needs players around him, hence 4-2-3-1.

Another big test for Stoke. West Brom have one of if not the best manager in the division. It’s been concerning that in both league games this season, opposition managers have rejigged their tactics mid-game and their teams have dominated afterwards. We have had no effective response to the changes made.

I'm surprised at the amount of stick Junior is getting compared with Bocat- yes he is raw and his first touch can be 'agricultural' but look at where the Watford goals came from, especially the second one where Gooch and Bocat allowed them to cross and then Bocat missed the frikkin simple clearance.....
We all wanted younger energetic players but with them you need some patience ( haha) - not sure Junior will make the level or not but where we are now we need to give him some room to develop surely?

The fact we're still starting Tezgel third game in is a piss take - recruitment team need to pull their finger out. |
