Strange game yesterday… we were asleep for the first 20 minutes & we’re lucky not to be at least 2-0 down.
Once we woke up Koumas & Manhoef were our only threat. Great finish by Koumas for the goal & was unlucky not to get an hat trick.
Thought the baggies never got out of 2nd gear & could have stepped it up & given us a kicking. They drew us in on their right hand side then switched the play & attacked. Their manager knows how to win football match’s & his game management worked a treat for them in the 2nd half. Given their financial situation they looked miles ahead of us.
As a lot have already said, Gooch was horrendous & junior was poor. Vik flapped a little but I still believe he is a good keeper & will make lots of crucial saves for us this season.

We gave them far too much room as midfield and defenders dropped back instead of getting stuck in. I am beginning to think that last season may well be on repeat mode here.
