Am I the only one thought Johnson was alright tonight?... I watched the game on mute because my sound was in front of the play so maybe that has done something to me 😅

Fielding kept a clean sheet, did his job tonight. Some good saves but otherwise could tell he hasn't played for 3 years with iffy decisions No problem, he is highly unlikely to play again |

Class that one as a 'professional performance'...we did what we needed to do in order to beat a League 2 team.
I thought the youngsters all did well: Anderson, Dixon, Sidibe, Koumas, Tezgel all played their part.
Ennis was his usual self, running around a lot with zero quality or end product. As for Frank Fielding...erm, yeah. To be fair he made a couple of decent saves, but I'd be terrified if he ever has to play a league game. Made Bonham look like Lev Yashin.

Not arsed one bit about the performance and not sure why anyone was to be honest..mashed up team of mostly debutants and players in positions they won't have been used to.
Job done without really trying too much and most importantly NO INJURIES.

Caught out of position loads, gave away a few free kicks and barely found a man. |

Particular highlight was when he came out for that free kick and was about as close to the ball as I am to shagging Salma Hayek. Which isn't anywhere near as close as I'd like. |

Good experience for the young players, competing with and against experienced pro's.
Better for them than playing U23's.

A poor game but on the same note, we could have scored 4 or 5 & they could have easily scored 2.
The youngsters did well.
Ennis is absolutely dire, I read a comment on here about him hitting the deck every time the ball went near him, after that it stood out like a sore thumb.
Bring on the next round.

Can't grumble at the kids too much; Johnson played out of position Only concern is Burger, who I thought was awful. Glad I'm not getting slammed for saying that like I was in previous games! 😅 Thompson looked good again tonight too! |
