who’s not getting behind him ? Well there are a few negative remarks but I wasn't really saying anyone wasn't getting behind him, especially not you. It was a general piece of advice to anyone reading, that an 18 year old will more likely succeed with fans on his side and not ones who groan at anything that doesn't come off from the lad. the positive for me if he does play on the left it allows Bae inside when he’s fit or still here

Welcome to Stoke City Lewis. You’ve got 15 minutes before the fans decide whether you’re shit or not don’t exaggerate, it’s 10 mins actually 😉 WoW, 10 or 15 minutes. It’s Stoke here, first back pass and he will be banned for life.

Hopefully he’ll start midweek vs Carlisle.
It’ll be a good first game for him.

I think this lad could be a fantastic signing.
Maybe the kind of player we’ve been crying out for.
Genuinely exciting.

Liverpool fan on radio Stoke before the game reckons he's very direct and pacy. Like to play wide left. He must have something about him. Let's hope we've got a gem that needs just a little bit of polishing.

His dad was a good player lovely control, don't remember him being pacy If he's got his dad's technically ability with extra pace then he could be some player

I mentioned similar on the transfer thread earlier, Klopp was already utilising his talent & had him training and playing with the first team for a reason last season. I've never been a massive Klopp fan but always admired his tenacity and his ruthlessness & way he would always defend his players and club. If Klopp thought Koumas had potential that'll absolutely do for me & I'm genuinely looking forward to seeing him in the red and white. If it is Tezgel stays as after starting today he may possibly do, what a fine player for him to watch and learn from and who knows, Tezgel and Koumas could actually forge a useful partnership.

I think a few have been burnt by past loans..tbf Clarke and Philogene are not of the same standard as Koumas imo, I feel this is a loan we can all genuinely excited about🔴⚪️

Is he fast? My mate who’s a Liverpool fan says he isn’t, he’s more of a technical winger like Elliott not a rapid winger like Diaz, but a couple on here have said he is?

The big thing with any youngster is the physicality in this league and can he handle it. That's probably the only reason they send their kids down to this level.
If he can handle it, or get to grips with it early on then he'll light the league up for sure. He's absolutely quality.
I've seen him at youth levels before and he really is that good but so was Delap and as we know, he struggled. Different player though so don't let that pre judge Koumas.
We just need to get behind him and give him time.

There is an expectation that wide players will be a bit inconsistent, whereas a centre forward is expected to be at it all the time (and is usually up against tougher, stronger players down the middle).

Delap relied on size and physicality which worked in youth levels but not at senior level. Delap needed that season to adjust and learn how to physically impose himself and mature a bit. Now he’s at a much higher level. Koumas hasn’t been able to rely on size so he’s developed an intelligence and movement that should help him make an impact, hopefully, faster than Delap. He really could be an incredible signing imo.

His potential is so high IMO that he could be this seasons talked about player in the Championship. I absolutely love Lee Darnbrough for this...

We have said this about so many of the young loan players we have had , he is at a similar stage of development as Lowe and Tezegel although clearly got a bit more in terms of pace, hopefully he does well along with the kid from Celtic who looks like coming but big step up for both so it is up to us to get the best from them , we still need a quality forward who can do well in this league
