Koumas will sign a new long-term contract on improved terms before completing the move, recognising the strides he has made. Liverpool believe it is a chance for the 18-year-old to gain more first team experience after featuring once for the first team last season. The forward made a handful of senior matchday squad's in the second half of last season – including the Carabao Cup final victory against Chelsea. He started against Southampton in the FA Cup and scored on his debut in the 3-0 victory. |

It's doesn't seem to be the case that many really flourish when they first dip their toe into it. But got to hope Walters and Darnbrough are right when they think he's one that can. It's a high level to be thrown into your first crack at it, and it does seem to be the 2nd of 3rd loan where they tart to look the part if they're going to. Always exceptions though, and fingers crossed he's one. |

Wintle? Surely not still. I think if we sign Lawal that would end Wintle talk Perhaps. Lawal looks like a Laurent replacement, who’s likely to leave before the end of the window. Wintle could replace either Johnson or Baker if we don’t do a swap for Travis. |

First loan is always a bit risky as we found out with Philogene, Clarke and Delap, no doubt he's a talent though.

Would this then free up Leris to Pisa do we think? No different positions. Koumas is mostly a left winger who can play striker if needed. It feels like the Leris deal is hinging on if Stoke can get Hoever. If Stoke get a positive sign on that then they'l let Leris go. |

It sounds like Koumas is a LW primarily who can fill in across the front-three. Given the money on offer for Leris I think it probably should mean we’ve got enough depth to make it work now. |

Some players are different level even at 18, hopefully he's one of them. I presume he'll be coming with first team football at the forefront of his mind, so fingers crossed he's got what it takes. Have no idea how much we are pinning our hopes on him.
