Was surprised how well he played down the middle. Timed his runs superbly and gave their defence real problems. So unlucky with the two shots that hit the post. If we had a proper striker he'd nail down that LW spot, but for now we might need him leading the line. Hes a station above all our players. Will be a fleeting season but actually nice to watch a genuinely class youngster.

Reminds me of Jack Clarke Koumas seems to be a good few years ahead of him from the looks of it, he already looks ready for this level based on his showing today but it took Clarke a few seasons from what I recall. Clarke was superb last season though.

Unreal today. Easily the sharpest forward I’ve seen at the bet365 for a long time. Movement excellent and super quick. Scores 15+ with good service

Unreal today. Easily the sharpest forward I’ve seen at the bet365 for a long time. Movement excellent and super quick. Scores 15+ with good service Very noticeable that he was moving across the frontline and pointing where he wanted the ball all the time. He must have been scratching his head with our midfielders waiting for the killer pass. Think Lauren got the assist with the pass but it took an age for him to make the pass. Koumas was actually telling him where to pass it. ( thought Laurent as ever was laboured in possession today). Problem we have I think Koumas would be better in a two if playing up top ( with a big powerful striker who appears before Friday !) so how do we get Juno and Million in the team then? Too lightweight with the three up top

He was making all the runs expecting Alexander Arnold to find him but instead gets Laurent who looks up and plays a 4 yard ball back to Gibson every fucking time!!!

I'd rather we play him up top and Junho on left. He could fire 15 goals imo. Absolutely. No way he gets relegated to the left wing. He's brimful of goals.

Having a player in our team who can break a line with genuine pace caught me off guard. It’s been a while.

Well done lad. Surprised at how well he coped physically and never gave up. Could have had a hat trick. Hopefully he can be a game changer for us and provide goals, because it’s something we’ll lack again.

So is he a striker? I'm not sure of his preferred position.

Head and shoulders above anything we had on the pitch today. Only million came remotely close.
Once schuey shoved him to the wing to accommodate hotshot ennis and mardarse mmaae all was lost.

Thought that’s his favoured position? It is. But it's clear he influenced the game much more centrally today

I thought he was just exaggerating but based on today I can see why he said it. That finish today wasn't the finish of a 18 year old starting his first ever league game..and the technique on those 2 that hit the post was top notch. Love that he gets his shots off early, no fannying about

Also very active off the ball and even stuck his flake in on defence at times.

What a good debut all we need is glass legs Stevenson back at full back, Bobcat left wing and Koumas in the middle, job done.
