And we've got two international breaks (one now and one before the Norwich game on 19th October) so he might be back for that game maybe?
If that's the case then he'll only miss 5 league games which sounds far better than 4-6 weeks.

Find this a bit strange. Has far has I know he wasn’t injured when we signed him but something was picked up on the medical that was keeping him out now it’s announced he has a back injury that’s keeping him out for a reported 7 weeks?

For what was reported as a minor injury, he'll miss a fair few games and weeks, really hope he is worth the wait. Why can't the club be a bit more up front and honest about these things? Never seem to get the true story.

Just guessing here but I suspect they found a stress fracture in his back and the recurrent scans are assessing healing. If that’s the case he should be fine as soon as it’s healed.
I’m sure we’d have not gone ahead if had been something like a disc problem or something similar

Never seem to get the true story. Because it seems like we haven't been certain of the extent of the injury, in fairness. Schumacher was pointing towards another scan so they'll most probably know more definitively now. |
