I think this is a perfect signing for us. Young, good cover and in positions that we are short in.

Good age profile for that type of fee. Has league experience with Fleetwood. Looks like an absolute unit.
I'd take this all day long.

THIS IS THE NEWS I WANNA HEAR.
As a Stokie living in Fleetwood I can tell you the guy was fantastic for the Cod Army.
Abit like a prime Romaine Sawyers, not the version we had..

Bosun Lawal 20yo CM Fleetwood (on loan from Celtic) 1.90m
Bosun Lawal is perhaps one of my favourite players in the EFL right now, heβs a player I called for Fleetwood to sign on loan before they did. He originally signed as a CB but under Charlie Adam has been turned into a midfielder and my word what a decision.
For me heβs one of if not the best ball carrying midfielders in the league, heβs an absolute powerhouse whoβs so ridiculously strong but also moves on the ball very quick.
In my honest opinion he has all the attributes to make it to the top level, he can play a possession based game, he can go long, heβs a physical monster, his ball carrying is so good and his ball striking well look at his goals.
I think this decision by Charlie Adam to move him into midfield has been one thatβs given Fleetwood a chance of staying up and with Charlie Adam been a good midfielder himself, I imagine he picked up on Lawals strengths straight away.

I like the look of this one. Youβd like to think Charlie would be able to pass on some info about his character and off-the-field stuff, seems a good profile, good potential.
For his development, moving up a division in England seems a logical move too.
Sounds like heβs good running with the ball, so perhaps more of a replacement / competition for Laurent in CM than the anchoring DM role?

If Charlie Adam says heβs a great midfielder that will do for me.

Why are Celtic selling though? They are a poor side by English standard

We need some steel in the central area, too many times we get outmuscled and pushed off the ball.

Why are Celtic selling though? They are a poor side by English standard Thay have people in that area already. Plus i'm sure I read somewhere they are trying to generate funds for that striker they had on loan from Norwich last season

x.com/jkanalysis7/status/1798733578349785332As I stated before, the first half of the season, he played as part of a back 5, either playing as a wing back or wide centre half. However, this all changed when Charlie Adam became the manager in January. His appointment led to a few changes, one of them being Lawal converting into a box-to-box midfielder, replacing Brendan Wiredu who would shift to Centre half. Wiredu was normally the holding midfielder in a midfield 3, maintaining the 4-3-3 formation that Lee Johnson had. To swap with Wiredu & play a more advanced position, it took quite some doing. Players need a lot of time to adapt to a new manager & position change. Bosun had both and really showed his talent.

We need some steel in the central area, too many times we get outmuscled and pushed off the ball. Could be handy from set-pieces too. Thatβs an area we need to improve markedly on in both boxes this season compared to last.
