I've never thought Sheff Utd were bigger. The 4 I've always thought of as being similar are us, WBA, Sheff U and Boro. Baggies have more top flight seasons - but the other 3 pretty much exactly the same Looking at the Sheff U fan reaction, they're pretty worried about their squad. A couple of eye-catching additions - but Wilder sounds frustrated and acknowledges they're well short and it'll be frees and loans unless the takeover gets sorted. I can't see Hoever doing better than us IF we want him - and I really can't see why we wouldn't? (unless it is a medical issue that's very significant?) It would be funny if there is a takeover and he is immediately sacked. Who Wilder, his next tantrum is never far away. Very old school can’t really work in collaboration with anyone who is anything other than subservient to him. Very few modern owners are going to want to set a club up in a way to suit him he’s a younger generation dinosaur like AN.

Wonder what he's failed on, whether there's some underlying issue.
Hopefully we can pick him up for a cut price now lol.

Hoever is 22 and doesn’t have an injury record as such ( measured by games lost ) and would recover faster than say Gallagher who has a horrendous injury record and at 29 ( in September) less likely to shake injuries off . My vote is go for Hoever

As rumoured. Failed medical. You don't really 'fail' a medical. The medical is an assessment and if issues are picked up on it's up to the individual club to determine how much of a risk that is for them. He could easily have a medical at another club and they don't consider it an issue.

If Hoever signed for another season that would be three on the trot wouldn't it. Has that ever happened before at Stoke?

I thought he'd be off somewhere else, probably abroad. I'd happily have him back, but I just wonder how he'll feel about it. I'm sure he'd have been hoping for more than another loan to Stoke, even though he did seem to enjoy it here.

The article doesn't state whether the Wolves pair would be loans again but would assume in Hoever case it must be (re ££££ FFP for both clubs) Cundle really should be affordable to buy, if all parties are up for it don't understand the hold up
