It does but we need to remember the window isn’t shutting yet. I just hope we get things sorted before it really does become last minute I see the transfer window as two phases. The first game of the season marks the end of the first phase for me and at that stage I want a team capable of winning the first game or holding its own throughout August (which we currently haven't got). Second phase is up until the deadline which by the end of I want a squad capable of top 6 usually, but this year I will settle for one capable of avoiding relegation which hopefully we will have by then. At the minute it looks worse than last year. There's plenty of time yet as we all know. But it's not going well. We need a minimum of 4 more to go into the starting 11 to stand a chance of improving on last year's nightmare. |

Oh for fucks sake he’s so not shite….hes a fucking footballer,he’s great on the ball and has more quality than half our present squad.Yes at times he’s a complete liability,but Christ,give me someone who shows a bit of class and can crop up with a few goals and an incisive pass rather than than the shite we’ve got presently any day of the week. |

Hoever and Cundle are both only 22 with lots of improving still left to do.
If we managed to land both of them on permanent deals I personally think it would be excellent business.
The reality is we've been a bottom half Championship team for the last five years, we aren't gonna do much better.

I would have thought it made far more sense to recruit players to try play the type of football we played at the end of the season but you don't like those players so you must want to recruit players to play a different way. Doesn’t give a guilt-edged chance to the opposition EVERY game 5. Doesn’t play the type of cross-field pass across the defence that is coached out of you at primary school age Over the course of a season, a defender that does the above, will cost a team far more points than he wins by chipping in with a couple of goals. Hoever was a calamity last year, despite having a few good games at the end of the season. |

Hoever and Cundle are two players I would be delighted with if we could get them both on permanent deals. The majority on this forum loose their minds if we spend money on a player over 28, so paying money for two 22 year olds who have shown glimpses of obvious potential would be great business .
