I really, really hope this is a Walters/Darnbrough signing and not another carryover from Jared. It will signal that we haven't cut ties with foreign markets and that we're still very much open for business.
It's absolutely where the value and potential is - and not lumping dead money on the likes of Gallagher et al.

I don’t want to be negative but if he’s that highly rated I find it hard to believe he’d be coming here. I’d be very very happy to be wrong though. Hopefully he’s better than our last two South American midfielders (although Palacios I think was just an awful tragedy given his brother being murdered). Let’s hope we can sign him and move on one of our current crop What a stupid point to make, “if he’s that highly rated then why is he coming here”… Basically, we’re shit so only shit players will want to come here? Because we offer clear career progression, first team football in England with great exposure, and we’re not exactly a Vale or Crewe, we are one good season away from the greatest league in the world (allegedly). |

He played vs Bae at the u20 World Cup where it’s been reported JD identified Bae so as a betting man I’d hedge my bets on him being a JD boy. |

Let’s hope we can sign him and move on one of our current crop I'm wondering if similar to Junho he's seeing the championship as a considered stepping stone where he can gain experience and acclimatise to the culture, rather than going straight to the premier league to a Brighton or Bournemouth where he'd likely get sent out on loan. Sensible move I reckon. Let's hope we go up with him! |

Not sure why people are saying it's unlikely when there's multiple reports from trusted sources in Ecuador saying its happening.
Most of our actual signings in recent times, as opposed to rumours that go on for a few weeks, appear out of nowhere as well.

Possible, but also possible Darnbrough was looking at him at Hull given there has been a hell of a lot of noise around Ecuador since Brighton have had success there - aswell as there being a lot of noise around the player himself going back to last summer. Let's hope so for the clubs sake. He was apparently close to joining Bournemouth but they pulled out at the last minute due to agents demanding 15% of the fee. |

Maybe we're looking at bringing 2 wide players in.
With Laurent, Baker and Leris seemingly heading for the exit door. Zambrano can be a replacement for Laurent and bringing Bae into midfield could replace Baker? That means we'd need a left winger and a covering right sided player.. that's what I'd be looking at anyway.
