Missed a sitter & a penalty, welcome to Stoke city Tom! The curse has taken effect. I’ve said for a while now, send Haaland down here & that’ll stop him scoring! Only Cannon’s 2nd game for us so plenty of time but it would have been nice for him to score tonight, a goal is great for confidence. |

EDIT: Always daft to judge someone on having their penalty saved. It's a lottery. If he hits that exact same penalty but the keeper guesses the opposite way it goes down as a quality penalty.

I disagree, for large parts I thought he put himself about was sharp, yes he should have scored from their mistake and of course the pen, but considering 7 others missed I wouldn't worry too much

On the plus side he’s getting in the right places to miss them.
He doesn’t look completely match fit/sharp to me (to be expected given the time out and minimal game time). I think it’ll happen for him though.

Haven't really seen yet what his strenghts are. He hasn't got a very good engine so pressing isn't his game, he's not the fastest, and he's not very powerful. Still early days and if he starts scoring he'd be of course important player for us. So far I'm doubtful but then again he can only get better as the season progresses. Luckily we still have Gallagher too if Cannon is not improving enough.

Underwhelming at this stage but you cant judge a player on a few minutes here and there.
Got to be given time. Some players start well, some don't, it happens.
Lets see what the coach can do with him.
