Is this what people mean when they talk about British Culture and Values where violence against Women and Girls has reached a National Emergency or are they just being eroded simply because of immigrants? www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/england-wales-npcc-college-of-policing-violence-b2584085.html- 3,000 Violent Crimes against Women and Girls EVERY DAY
- More than 1 Million Violent Crimes against Women and Girls in the year 2022/23
- 1 in 12 Women will be a victim each year totalling 2 Million Women
- Child Sexual Abuse increased by 435% between 2013 and 2022
- 20% of all Murders are related to Domestic Violence

This board would be so much more pleasant if political/state of affair threads were banned. Our once great nation is in urgent need of a Viktor Orban to restore some national pride That's quite a bizarre run of 30 or so continuous words their Nick, or am I being whooshed? 😁 What's bizarre about it mate? Im a big supporter of Orban. Most of Hungary (which was in a dire state then he took over in 2010) think he's fantastic.

It's all a bit toxic on here. This board would be so much more pleasant if political/state of affair threads were banned. Our once great nation is in urgent need of a Viktor Orban to restore some national pride, firm leadership and to reignite and repair the broken mindset of the British people. Big Vik, get him involved. If that's a joke then I admire the irony. Genuinely. If it's not, I wonder if you know (m)any Hungarians, or even speak to them? I mean have a bunch of Hungarian friends but have spent time in Debrecan and Budapest sporadically over the years and on balance, most that I've spoken too like him. As with any leader, opinion is divided and the younger liberal generation in Budapest (similar to the UK) are inevitably less supportive than those in smaller cities, towns and rural areas.

Perhaps we could organise a massive rally and invite those Big Mates Big Vik, Big Vlad, Big Don and Big Nige over to restore some national pride, repair our broken mindset and re-establish our lost love for firm leadership. Maybe run up some uniforms, hold it in a bierkeller and call it "NeoFascistWankFest".

To quote the famously left leaning Le Monde: "When Viktor Orban became prime minister of Hungary in May 2010, following the victory of his party, Fidesz, in the April legislative elections, the country was on the verge of suffocation. Prices were soaring; the currency (the forint) was collapsing; the economy had plunged by 6.8% the previous year, triggering a surge in unemployment; and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was called in to help". On top of that they'd had riots prior to that throughout 2006 due to their corrupt socialist PM confessing to lying in order to win the election - Protests which featured occupation of government buildings and bringing Hungary to the brink of a coup. Big Vik is great, deal with it.

Big Vik is great, deal with it. To be fair, he does sound exactly like the kind of bloke you and those liking your post would think is a good idea. Starting with the Second Orbán Government in 2010, during his uninterrupted stay in power, Orbán has curtailed press freedom, weakened judicial independence, and undermined multiparty democracy, amounting to democratic backsliding during Orbán's tenure. He frequently styles himself as a defender of Christian values in the face of the European Union, which he claims is anti-nationalist and anti-Christian. His portrayal of the EU as a political foe while accepting its money and funneling it to his allies and relatives has led to accusations that his government represents a kleptocracy. It has also been characterized as a hybrid regime, dominant-party system, and mafia state. Orbán defends his policies as "illiberal Christian democracy". As a result, Fidesz was suspended from the European People's Party from March 2019; in March 2021, Fidesz left the EPP over a dispute over new rule-of-law language in the latter's bylaws. In a July 2022 speech, Orbán criticized the miscegenation of European and non-European races, saying: "We [Hungarians] are not a mixed race and we do not want to become a mixed race." Two days later in Vienna, he clarified that he was talking about cultures and not about genetics. His tenure has seen Hungary's government shift towards what he has called "illiberal democracy", while simultaneously promoting Euroscepticism and opposition to liberal democracy and establishment of closer ties with China and Russia.

Most of Hungary (which was in a dire state then he took over in 2010) think he's fantastic. I just thought it was bizarre that you would say that the board would be better without politics being discussed and then in the very next sentence, make a political comment yourself, that would obviously be completely incendiary. 😂
