Just an observation, can the thread title be changed please? The team is actually now called Stoke City Women. Haha. It's hilarious and shows how archaic some of the gentlemen are on here. |

I went to the women's game v Forest today and at half time there was a woman in the stands signing autographs and having selfies taken with mainly young fans. She patiently stood there throughout the half time interval while a large queue of fans formed in the aisles to have photos taken etc. Was there anyone who went today who saw who it was ? Obviously someone famous but for the life of me I hadnt a clue who it was.

Good result today winning 2-1 at Rugby Borough who were 100% in three previous games. Sitting in 8th (of 12) at the moment having played 3 of the current top 4 in our first 4 games.

Finished 1-5. Outclassed, although they (us) had a player sent off. Burnley impressed me the most of any of the teams I saw Stoke play last season. I know Newcastle romped the league,but they just seemed much fitter/physical and finished the few chances they created brilliantly. Burnley moved the ball really well,looked very drilled and slick. |

Genuinely I watch the wee lass play for the girls u12s on a Saturday and the lads 2014s Sunday with the difference being quite interesting. Personally I find the girls games better typically to watch as the better sides try to pass it about a bit - the lads are still all standing still waiting for the ball to come to them then trying Messi it the length of the pitch. Less bell ends at the side too in the girls although the gap there is defo closing!!

Can't find the other thread, feel free to merge, Admin.
Another good result for the women today - 6-0 against Sporting Khalsa, who are admittedly the division's whipping girls (quiet at the back).
Takes us past the Baggies into sixth place, with a game in hand on most (v lowly Stourbridge).
After two heavy defeats to the current top two teams early in the season we're unbeaten in four (3 1 0) and can hopefully develop into a challenger as the season goes on. Playing Liverpool Feds and West Brom soon who are in and around us in the top 6-7, so they will be good tests.

Liverpool Feds 0 Stoke City Ladies 6 (six)! Liverpool a team they lost to earlier in the season. Since their defeat to Burnley they really have began to gel and hit some form and had some really impressive results against top teams. Be really interesting to see how they go on for the rest of the season - only a few points from top if they win their game in hand. Shame we can't seem to get the highlights on the Stoke website anymore. |

"I spoke to the lady at the travel agency" Woman - an adult female human being. a female person associated with a particular place, activity, or occupation. "she was the first Oxford woman to take a first in Physics" Women probably the best option of the two, but not sure why either would offend - but I am the the worlds worst at these sort of things |
