That's right yep and The Kinks had to re record Lola around the same time for radio 1..Cherry Cola not Coca Cola. If it's ever played nowadays you will hear the original album version with Coca Cola on it, not the single edit with Cherry Cola. Because crackly old seven inch records, obv. Well, I heard the Coca Cola version on Radio 2 a while ago. Love Liza Tarbuck, me.

Technically, that ought to be spelled beau selector, cos it's meant to be the French for "good"...its to commend the DJ (the selector of records) for selecting a good record. Yes yes I know, I do need to get out more

Yes yes I know, I do need to get out more Etymologically speaking (yeah, right!), did Bo! Selecta originate in the Parisian hip-hop scene or somewhere else? I thought it originated in the crowds enjoying the sounds of the Jamaican sound systems and Bo! delivered with gun fingers sign, denoting on target, accurate, fire. And of course, oft followed by Rewind! when the tune really hit the spot and we get the fast backspin to the opening bars. I don't want to get out more (unless its in front of a huge sound system).

Haha your thoughts were correct it certainly did originate in the crowds enjoying the Jamaican sounds! Was a Jamaican lad told me, he said "bo" was meant there as the French for good. I used to love going them Jamaican sounds. And actually, I don't think I want to get out more neither these days. Edit: actually, as per your edit, I concur....if it was in front of a huge sound system that would be ok!

At least no bugger will be watching Trés droll. (I do actually watch Dr Who, not many others do by all accounts). The last episode was the lowest watched in the history of the show apparently although the BBC once again are trying desperately to deny it which they did with the previous doctor

Sentinel suggests it may be a few days until we see him holding a scarf up. www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/stoke-city-transfer-eric-bocat-9366151There is extra paperwork and time to wait when bringing in a player from Belgium, which has administrative procedures to tackle money laundering following a fraud scandal between 2017 and 2019, but Bocat is set to join influential centre-half Ben Gibson and number one keeper Viktor Johansson in the Potters' early business.... all being well, he will be holding up a Stoke shirt at a grand unveiling before players report for pre-season training at Clayton Wood next Monday.

Anyone who has been caught up in money laundering bollocks wouldn't be surprised. Ironically banks are the biggest money launderers but get to stand in judgment over other people.

Influential centre half? How do they know he's influential? his career to date? his character as evidenced already with his interview the only issue with Gibson is length of contract & that remains to be seen whether its an issue or not

I believe you, can imagine that, life's funny sometimes, hope his knees were up to the dancing. That's ace though. Use go the sounds and the blues when I lived in Leamington, there's a Jamaican community there, and folk used to come over from Coventry and Birmingham too. Didn't meet any footballers but I did once meet Dillinger at a sound in the commonwealth club. True story but I already had a tin of red stripe I think.

Associated reggae based information .. well Rock Steady but hey. I played in Alton Ellis's backing band a few years back.
