Been underwhelmed by Gibson so far. Ponderous in possession, not that quick and no real sign he is organising us particularly well.

If Gibson had worries about how things were going, been the club Captain,he should have a talk to Shue, not go behind his back.

I'm sure there was a story about him speaking out against a previous manager somewhere and said manager then losing his job. Can't remember where

Been underwhelmed by Gibson so far. Ponderous in possession, not that quick and no real sign he is organising us particularly well. I'd go along with that. In honesty we have looked better defensively when he hasn't played than when he has. I was initially impressed, particularly by the way he was talking and organising but even that seems to have disappeared from his game. Currently part of the problem, where,as captain, he should be driving the solution on the pitch. Must do far better would be my report card comment for him today.

The way our midfield has been set up..ie let the opposition have every loose ball and the freedom of the park, is a bit harsh to judge our defenders at times so far.
Hopefully Narco will see to that

Are people just making shit up at this point?
Nobody knows whats gone on behind the scenes at the club all summer, and which direction the relationship between SS, SJW, SK, JC etc has gone - we can all speculate that there has been discourse and disagreement, maybe over recruitment and maybe over style of play - none of us have a clue but can only assume that there is a different outlook between SS theology with what he had vs SJW vision on getting the club where we want it.
A separation if different ideas or outlooks cant be reconciled is the likely outcome
Now we are making stuff up about Ben Gibson based on some Twitter comment - unbelievable!
Undoubtedly something has gone awry behind closed doors, and maybe this was the only outcome.

Something that occurred to me yesterday is that Ben will know Pelach well from Norwich won't he? Think there's a possibility that he's gone to Walters and at the very least given him a positive reference, and potentially even told him that the players are currently poorly coached? He probably didn’t go to Walter’s but I’m pretty certain that Walter’s will have spoken to him. He would be a reliable source of information

Ben Gibson is not far off running the whole football club at the minute. Not only is he club captain but without a doubt would have been the one to recommend Pelarch to Walters. Not sure whether we should be worried about a player having so much influence

Undoubtedly something has gone awry behind closed doors, and maybe this was the only outcome. I wasn't meaning to slander him. The main point of my initial post was just to highlight that he'll have worked with Pelach at Norwich and you would think at the very least he would have provided a glowing reference, so it at least gives a bit more reassurance around his credentials.

I can’t believe how much traction this made up fairy tale is getting on here. I don’t know why I’m wasting my time reading such drivel on this board but it’s weirdly addictive cos I didn’t know people could be so thick.

What if (and hear me out here)
Phillips the guy from spurs made it up and posted it on here to try and throw some dirt at Gibson so that he could get his place back in the starting line up?

Gibsons constant barking at players in the Chester friendly rang alarm bells for me. Then at Oxford in a game he was awful treating Junho like a 2 year old confirmed it. Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s being doing regular trips into Walters office.

Junho was playing like a 2 year old on Saturday tbf And Gibson like a 72 year old. No arguments with that, CB is a position we should of strengthened in the summer, Wilmot and Gibson no where near the level imo

Very much doubt Gibson has any influence on the manager change.
What he does have some influence on is how shite he’s looked at CB. He’s no upgrade on McNally for me, and for all his experience he’s just not at the level we need for a leader at the back. I’ve never rated him, even when he went for big money to Burnley some years back under Dyche. He talks the talk without question but when it comes to the crunch he’s bang average. Wilmot and Phillips should be playing
