I wonder what these will be now the season is over, that a radio podcast alluded to shortly before the season was coming to an end🤔

Given the number of players out of contract and loans we had ..major change is an obvious throwaway line
But if we’re serious , and it’s not just a rinse & repeat
Hopefully as intimated by the club it’ll mean a smaller squad , but one of higher quality , with a targeted approach to recruitment rather than a scatter gun approach
Id hope that means laying a proper strong foundation for a true playoff / promotion challenge if not next year then the season after , by using our finances to build a defence made up of our own players , rather than loans ..that means a goalkeeper a left back and a CB ..due to FFP and the difficulty recruiting to the championship they might need to be younger players hence the 2 year timeline .the major difference is they’d be our players
Our midfield already shows promise despite a poor season overall for the team , once you have a strong defence and a strong midfield that can both create and protect the already strong back line when needed then you can play on the front foot
One or two quality costly loans should be the cherry on the cake , loaned for our benifit ,preferably in January to freshen the squad and bring experience of how to box a season off and get a promotion push over the line ..rather than being the core of the team from the outset
if we do even part of the above I’d say that would represent a massive change in policy at the club

Don't they say it every year? Usually followed by a disappointing transfer window.

FFP changes?
Can't see it being overtly structural, King, Walters, Schumacher appears set

One welcome change will see Haks bugger off back to Celtic. Heard some shocking stuff about his nutter of an agent on Saturday from someone in the know at the club. Staggered that we did business with him in the end.

Staggered that we did business with him in the end. Already gone back hasn't he ? A bit of an Arnie character by all accounts, yep. With loans and a few out of contracts we should see a reasonable change in next season's squad Wesley and Campbell I imagine will give us room to bring in strikers who actually know how to stick the ball in the net more than every other Yom Kippur

When was the last time you had a Hollands pie? Wrights have gone downhill but still have some way to go to be as bad as Hollands. Now if they want to improve ticket sales we all know who should be approached to do the catering…….

I had one at Deepdale earlier this season. It wasn't anything to write home about but was a gazillion times better than what Wright's laughably call 'Meat & Potato'* *Should be forced by trading standards to market them as 'Grey Sludge of Indeterminate Origin & Alabaster Mystery Cubes' pies.

Peter Wright once bollocked me for parking in his space at their new place in Crewe at the time -Can't you read the f---ing sign and a few more expletives and insults about my car and it's country of origin and what I should do with it There was no sign. It was being replaced apparently for one with his name on Meeting didn't go well after that

Those same clueless fucks who signed Burger, Jun-ho, Tchamedu… Let’s not pretend it was all bad, not every transfer is going to work out. The main problem for me was too much change in one window. Other signings were reasonable such as Rose, Gooch, Hoever, McNally, Iversen, Travers, Mmaee (jury still out), Vidigal was worth a gamble and may still come good.

There's too many throw away signings right now, sadly some are still here and some have gone - which isn't the right way around. I'd like -but probably won't get - either Cundle or Hoever to be made permanent. Stevens resigning would significantly help our LB position, along with a youngster. We obviously need a keeper, but I wouldn't go for a youngster in this position. That's been a weak area this term and it can't continue. Obviously going back for Travers won't be an option (he started at the weekend). We also need a replacement for Tyrese and I'm slightly baffled why we didn't offer him a new contract as we're not going to find anything better right now and I'd prefer we'd concentrate on positions we are really weak on rather than adding to our issues. Overall it's yet another mini-reset, hopefully less, but we're still resetting to a certain degree. It's the problem with a top-heavy loan system it's always going to be rinse and repeat.

Another really poor bit of work from our transfer team last summer
