With them losng 5-0,it's all guess work which Southampton side will turn up on Sat. If we can perform like we did v Plymouth,we will have a chance,it may come down to who scores 1st. Also depends what Stoke turn up ! Pointless predicting anything in this bonkers league.

For those who say the Leicester result makes no difference.
Imagine if Soton had won there and were now in the auto mix.

Just don't lose heavily,GD could become a factor if we lose our last 2.

Had a look at their messageboard. Most of their fans view the game as meaningless, other than posing a risk to injuring some of their players just prior to the playoffs. Several of them state that they aren't even attending. Many calling for them to blood some youngsters, give bench players some time etc. etc.
But a few also point out that due to the last 2 losses, their gaffer may stick with a strong lineup trying to save some face/ player-confidence going into the playoffs. If I was them, I'd do the former. This is a game where you can't lose key players for the playoffs due to an injury. But that's just me and I'm biased.
Edit: Oh and they have at least one cool fan. Instead of going to the game, which he views as meaningless - he's going to Bovington Tank Museum for "Tiger Day." I can't fault good taste like that!

Just don't lose heavily,GD could become a factor if we lose our last 2. This, important if we do lose to keep it to a 2 goal margin or less. We should go there with the aim of keeping things tight in the first, and then having a real go in the second half. We can't turn up like we did against Swansea.

I really hope the manager has spent the whole week drilling it into the players that the job is far from done .
A limp performance and defeat today coupled with 2 other games not going our way will lead to a very tense and nervy occasion next Saturday.
Of course a win for Huddersfield and its as good as done but we really can't rely on other results.

I'm just nervous about our performances after coming off the back of a good win/game. We don't seem to have that "follow up" attitude. Hope I'm completely wrong today.

Stating the obvious in an attempt to calm my shattered nerves, but what we want from today is any combination of results that leaves Stoke safe and renders next week meaningless.
The prospect of League 1 football is just too awful to contemplate.

Real Mdrid played Sociedad, a good team, with nine reserves yesterday. They still took the game seriously and won.

Best thing we can do here is come out and start leaving our feet into a few challenges. They'll absolutely shit themselves with the playoffs around the corner.

I'd have Sheffield Wednesday on another screen if I could.
Team looks ok, atmosphere looks sleepy, which suits us.

That Southampton shirt is terrible. Like our pinstripe effort. It's a sheer beauty, reminiscent of Denmark's shirt in the Mexico World Cup in 1986..

Nice of Southampton to arrange for a bloke on a trumpet to play Oh When The Reds. Classy touch.
