Not sure how true it is but I’ve heard a rumour this year that all the fans will be on the pitch waving to their loved ones. The players and all other members of staff with be in the stands applauding.
There will also be the usual over the tannoy announcement that those in the stands are not permitted to run on the pitch during the lap. Which should be fine as most have had a seasons worth of experience.

It's not a lap of honour though.
Basically the players showing their appreciation to the fans who have been great

Would be a shame if it didn’t happen - thanks to the fans for their support, tolerance, patience, loyalty etc etc

Think the fans should do a lap of Honour especially the ones who travelled away. Should be applauded by the club for standing by them after all the shit the fans have had to endure this season.

If we stay up on the last game of the season and there’s a pitch invasion, now that would be just embarrassing.

I don’t see it should be done at all, was thinking about it earlier, it would just be better if we all left after the final game and wrote this wretched season off (again)

They’ll probably get it wrong somehow. Perhaps half will walk in the wrong direction 😂

It's not a lap of honour though. Basically the players showing their appreciation to the fans who have been great Or more realistically told to go out and clap, then you can shower and go home to your trophy wives.

Most of them will be saying buy to the fans as they jump ship, and let us sail into league one

Thankfully I’ll be in Spain. If I wasn’t I definitely would not stick around to applaud their seasons work. It’s been fucking horrific yet again particularly at home. Not sure why anyone would want to show appreciation of the dross that’s been churned out.

If we stay up on the last game of the season and there’s a pitch invasion, now that would be just embarrassing. I’ll be straight on the pitch, along with every other fan. John Coates singing Delilah to a full pitch from his executive seat! Walters thumping his crest laden chest. Fans holding Schumacher aloft, chanting his name. Will put the display by Bayer Levekursen’s tonight look distinctly average.

Is that what we’ve become to some ‘fans’, a joke? If so, you can do what my avatar suggests. We’ve had a bad, real bad, season yes but red and white blood still flows my veins at least.

Fourth bottom or higher and I'd happily contribute to a 'thank fuck for that' round of applause.
Presuming 75% of them are still here next season, how on earth is fucking off and leaving an empty stadium at ninety minutes going to help moving forward?
Even though this season more than any other in recent times has tested my patience [with Stoke City] some fans are so fucking precious. None of us have any clue whatsoever what it's like being the scenes at our club. And I thought we were supposed to a club with a fanbase to be proud of? And no, this isn't the same as expecting any old shit that is dished up week to week, happy clapping (god that cliché makes me die a little every time I read it).
Disclaimer: I can think of two or three who wouldn't be getting my direct applause, but en-masse, what is to be gained by not applauding the likes of JunHo or Burger?

Like last season, I won't be staying and applauding that. It's been the 6th dreadful season in a row. But the first season for; Burger, JunHo, Millionaire Shortbread, et al. Why do they have to suck the mop for what has gone before? How is a half empty stadium fair for the decent new players and fill them with the enthusiasm to prepare for next season? It's like moaning at your current missus because your ex-pissed you off.

Like last season, I won't be staying and applauding that. It's been the 6th dreadful season in a row. a typical Stokie mindset that. Almost all these players have only just joined us and have absolutely nothing to do with the last 6 seasons. Most of them are giving it their all so I will applaud them, as should the rest of our supporters if we want to create unity. Vis unita fortior
