If that was true then he needs to sort himself out. However I’m pretty sure it isn’t. He just looks completely off the pace & unfit.

try playing him in the position he’s played for 90% of his career might help

I think there is something in that for sure, too. He's a 6 all day long and not a box to box player.

We have to many bits and pieces players who don’t excel at any element and in the midfield are to lightweight or too slow.
He still has a place in our best starting 11 which is Lawal, Burger and Moran for me.

I said on a previous thread. He was the same last season had a good run of games where he was stand out and a good run of games where he was bad/average. I think the spurs rumour was completely made up to fill some gossip columns he’s nowhere near that level yet.

I’ve said it since he signed, he is majorly overrated by a lot of our fan base. He can be decent on his day but so can anyone. I’ve never really understood the hype around him personally.

He's a very nice chap and everyone can see his potential but it hasn't materialized yet. With some players it never will but with Burger it's way too early to make a final judgement cause he's still young so everything is possible.

He has energy.

I thought he'd add an element offensively to his game as hitting the edge of the box late.

He currently miles off it.

Schumacher Saif he'd come back fit, yet first game he's subbed at 70 mins.

We have a lot of unknowns to come in but they won't have to be world beaters to see this guy out the team.

Just hasn't been the same player for months now. Someone needs to have a good talk to him. I had high hopes for him after his first four or five months here but he has gone sadly downhill to to the extent I'd prefer he was left out completely. Liability as it currently stands.
