Sad but true. Clearly finished whatever op he had the outcome has been spectacularly disappointing. I too was worried about his ongoing welfare after seeing him walk on the pitch after playing literally like an old man. Should have made enough to pack it in to prevent further damage and mobility loss or he’ll end up on a mobility scooter by the time he’s 40.

Crikey Bayern a constructive suggestion. If Brendan Ocallaghan could perhaps Wesley could but it’s a fantasy to think he could suddenly jump more than two inches off the ground . Nice thought though .

He still won plenty in the air despite not being able to jump and you can get away with a lot more at centre back. You also know the movement strikers are going to make so can anticipate that. He did his defensive duties really well and just his body shape and height makes him look like a centre half to me. He never looked like a striker.

A decent coach could easily get him to where he needs to be if he wanted it.
