The bloke simply cannot run.
He’s like an F1 driver with no arms.

1 year deal.
It didn't work out, but I absolutely feel for him. The man can barely walk, let alone run.
He also gave me one of my fondest memories of the season, (possibly one of my favourite in football) when subbed on vs Leeds and chasing back after Summerville; was like something out of a monster film and I'm convinced the ground was shaking.

Useless.
Can’t wait for the wages to be freed up and hopefully spent usefully on BTA

Complete waste of a squad number and a years salary. Thanks Alex.
We need to learn.

Officially he will be gone in the close season…….out of contract. Having not being anywhere near the 1st team nor U21’s makes you wonder if he’s still here at present I can’t see us paying him the reported 30k a week and letting him hit the beach for the last few weeks of the season do you?🔴⚪️ My mates are Villa season ticket holders. They said Micah Richards sat on his 60k a week for 3 years without ever going to the club. He was offered a £6m payoff to free up wages but refused , so if true, then it happens.

What a wank signing this guy was. Was there a single fan who thought this was a good idea? What the fuck were we smoking when we signed him?
Fuck the fuck off.

Considering how unfathomably shit he was, I can only assume BayernOatcake thought he was a mega signing.

Useless. Can’t wait for the wages to be freed up and hopefully spent usefully on BTA WBA 'fans' are slating BTA at the minute. All gust and no finesse. Missed a bagful of tap ins according to them. Sounds up our street..but, forwards do miss chance and it us all about the next one.

Sad but true. Clearly finished whatever op he had the outcome has been spectacularly disappointing. I too was worried about his ongoing welfare after seeing him walk on the pitch after playing literally like an old man. Should have made enough to pack it in to prevent further damage and mobility loss or he’ll end up on a mobility scooter by the time he’s 40.

He’s got that combativeness, mobility and bit of nasty that we’re really short of up top plus he scores a few as well. It’s all about the blend.

Then we should look for another diamond in the rough from league 2. He cost them £300k. Why help WBA by spending over the odds? Isn’t that what scouting is for?

You forget (or at least I did) that he had that horrific injury.
It’s clearly affected him, as he struggles to do basic things on the football pitch now. His movement is so restricted.
Interesting to see where he ends up.
Back in Brazil is my guess.

Yeah we should but as well as not instead of, we can’t afford another season gambling on having such an ineffective CF.

He would make a good doorman,so long that he doesn't have to move too far from the door.

If Brendan Ocallaghan could perhaps Wesley could but it’s a fantasy to think he could suddenly jump more than two inches off the ground . Nice thought though .

He still won plenty in the air despite not being able to jump and you can get away with a lot more at centre back. You also know the movement strikers are going to make so can anticipate that. He did his defensive duties really well and just his body shape and height makes him look like a centre half to me. He never looked like a striker. A decent coach could easily get him to where he needs to be if he wanted it.
