You can't have seen many then, plenty worse than him? Oh he's right up there though Oh I agree, but he's not the worst ever

Oh he's right up there though Oh I agree, but he's not the worst ever 27 years old, 5 starts, 15 sub appearances, no assists, no goals. Apparently 60k a week if the forum is correct. Total fucking disaster. Not to mention Ciaran Clarke. Crap stats for last season at Levante, no wonder Alex and Ricky are history.

Oh he's right up there though Oh I agree, but he's not the worst ever I have a self defence mechanism when it comes to recalling/remembering bad signings, but in recent times, Wes is most definitely up there as, how can we put it delicately, a gamble that didn't pay off.

He would make Kieth Scott look prolific.

As close as he got I think

It went down as an OG I think That's what I mean, he got two like that - WBA in the cup and the header vs Leeds I do think those two goals are a reason why he can’t go down as being the worst of anything. The main problem is what we’re paying him against what he actually brings. Those two goals happened because he was there though and earned us 3 points against Leeds, vital ones at that. He could have been more useful if we played something that suited him, but unfortunately you can’t change your ways to fit a largely disappointing target man on big money.

Controversial opinion perhaps but I think he’s being written off as a largely disappointing target man because he’s been used badly. When he’s been on the pitch we’ve just tended to lump balls up to him which doesn’t suit him or us.
His career has certainly taken a nosedive but the bloke’s a full international for Brazil. You don’t become one of those without being able to play football a bit.
I’d rather see him in the side than Ennis in Mmaee’s absence. He’s a much better footballer and would link the play better.

Give the guy a start on Saturday, With Mmaee out, we have no one to hold the ball up and get us up the pitch, Wesley will actually be able to hold the ball up and win headers when we need to get out and get up the pitch. Ennis cant do it and Campbell cant or wont do it. Give him ago, He will also offer us something at set pieces. Yes we are now that desperate.

He can’t head the ball, can’t shoot, is slow as fuck and has shown zero to suggest he’d be any use. It’s a mess but Wes isn’t the answer to the mess

Well, kind of. Big Wes has 1 appearance for Brazil, in 2019, coming on as an 86th minute substitute. I can't find out if he got to kick the ball or not.

At this stage he's a warm body that we can throw at the problem. We might aswell throw the kit lady on up front for as much use as Ennis and Campbell are.
What a mess.

It’s four years since he did his ACL in his first season at Villa. At the time he was injured he’d scored 5 goals at a rate of a goal every 4 games in the PL. Since then, a year out with the ACL and 71 appearances for a number of clubs. 3 goals in the Spanish second tier. The injury has obviously had a massive impact on his career. I’d be amazed if his touch was as bad beforehand. Needs must though. A physical presence is needed up front. Get him on the bench at least. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wesley_(footballer,_born_November_1996)
