God knows where those 11 goals came from for Lethal Keith... You sure someone hasn't been on Wiki and changed his goalscoring record for 'a bost'? 'Soccer base' has him down as scoring just 4 goals for Stoke and I cant even remember more than 1 tbh Keith Scott Stoke 30 Dec, 94 11 Nov, 95 £300,000 League Apps 22 goals 3 Cup Apps 2 goals 1 That’s right it says 11 goals on the Wikipedia stats but then goes on to say “Scott endured a torrid time at Stoke, scoring just 4 goals”. Clearly not to be trusted

He'll go with my best wishes, the injuries he's had have obviously taken a toll on him. Seemed to be well liked in and around the dressing room, but with his wages freed up we can hopefully find and fund a goalscorer.

I don’t know how he fits into any team in this era

At last we sign a Brazilian player and everyone is hoping for Jarzinho or Rivelino.
But instead we get some big leaden lump from the Villa called 'Wes'!
I suppose the best thing you can say is that at least we didn't pay a fee for him.
The Villa did though, they parted with an eye watering 22 milion quid, uuufffff!

His leg being 3cm shorter than the other is a bit weird but it seems that it didn't appear to affect Garrincha - whose right leg was 6cm shorter than his left.

Target men need to be mobile if playing up front on their own. Wesley isn’t. He must have been once, but he absolutely isn’t when in a Stoke shirt.

Well it is Wikipedia and it doesn't say whether it's his left leg, his right leg or his middle leg. If it's the middle one then I might just pack it all in, but it's a Sunday night and we won't go down that road just yet...

How on earth did he get a cap for Brazil The only thing I can think of is that it was sunnier than usual in Rio one day and someone was worried he’d burn his head.

'Garincha', Portuguese for 'Little Bird' One of two little birds with one leg shorter than the other to make their fortune, the other being Heather Mills

What’s happened to the forgotten man. Has to rank as one of the worst signings ever. I dread to think how much he’s being paid. Yes he is up there with Paul Stewart. At least Paul Stewart went in goal once as an emergency keeper.

I thought that after the first couple of viewings, but he really is that bad that I can’t see anyone at any level wanting him. Watching him, it’s like watching one of these celebrity unicef games, like a Usain Bolt (minus the pace). Its incredible somebody watched him and thought he’d be a good loan signing, no offence to the guy and he’s probably a nice lad.. but he’s got to be one of, if not the worst footballers I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen some shit)

Wouldn't be as bad if he was on loan as we could have tried to negotiate sending him back from where he'd come from! Someone from Stoke saw fit to offer him a one year deal 😬🤔

He’s absolutely shit and has robbed the club of what I can only assume extortionate amounts. But I quite like him to be honest and gave me the best moment of the season (vs Leeds, home).
£22m Villa spent for the lad …

Go USA me thinks,
Former 22 million pound premier league striker
Brazilian international
26 years old
Change of manager at club. Does not fit in with new managers plans, put down to style of football and surplus to requirements
Free transfer?
They’ll be falling over backwards for him.

For a while it made it look like we had a prolific goalscorer when they put up the top scorers on BBC Ceefax!
