Loads of great records released in the 2000s* : pitchfork.com/features/lists-and-guides/7710-the-top-200-albums-of-the-2000s-20-1/ (pitchfork was always pretentious and devisive and has now been bought up and ruined by Conde Nast, but the decade lists sections are worth a look) *I was in my 20s, see PotterLog's comment which is bang on. I think the way music is consumed now is perhaps less conducive to emergence of distinct scenes, sounds & genres. But I may just have taken my finger from the pulse as I'm now middle aged.

Probably the 2010s for me. One Direction, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, JLS, Miles Cyrus, Arianna Grande, LadBaby, Jedward. And I'm only scratching the surface there too. You've posted some absolute arse gravy in your time but this must easily break to into your top 3 ever despite the immensely stiff competition 🎣🎣🤣

I used to have a guy in LDN who had a menu of 20+ strains and did postal during lockdown. I smoked some lovely stuff during that period. Rainbow gelato and Kong were two of the nicest I've had from that period and since.

Had some lovely White Widow in Eindhoven when we went to watch Stoke playing in Westerlo but I had some Purple Widow elsewhere later that was even better 🙂

Since doing the music round on my wednesday quiz i have begun to appreciate just how much great music there is from so many eras/decades
the amount of tunes I pull up that everybody recognises and will sing along too but has zero idea what they are called or who performed them when put on the spot is brilliant, of course its even better when i get everybody singing along, the quiz nearly gets forgotten!
anyway, every era and decade has some amazing songs and they are utterly incomparable due to the fact they are shaped by the social and economic situations at the time they were made!
my two pence anyway for all that it matters

The early to late 50's were very hard going tbh. 70s most enjoyable. Back end of the 90s and start of the 2000s were also a slog due to the amount of Westlife/Boyzone number ones. Speaking of which, 'A different Beat' by Boyzone stood out as the worst number one I listened to, just absolute fucking dirge. I'd still take the 2000s over the 50s, some great pop, Indie (mostly American) and dance music from that decade.
