That time of year again! Normally some good offers on at the bookies.. just seen William Hill doing a free £5 bet everyday so might as well jump on board and have a go!

Not into horse riding but the highlight is always listening to Alan Brazil's exploits and H&J's insights
Then a Friday night on the drink after the gold cup

Used to go but was full of drunken Irish folk pissing away money and starting fights
Reminded me me too much of family weddings and christenings

Not into horse racing and never been to Cheltenham but I have been invited to go on Friday,so, I'm heading down to it I went last year, all depends on what enclosure your in, we were in the cheaper end, beer was £7.50 and you weren’t allowed to take it in to where you actually see the horses running! Decent day out mind and never queued more than 5 mins for a drink or piss which I was impressed with.. good luck mate and enjoy!

I'm usually Cheltenham obsessed but I've not bothered with the racing this year. Last year's crop were shit.
Most multis wrecked with Constitution Hill, and to a lesser degree Marine Nationale, both out.
I've got Ballyburn at 12/1, El Fabiolo at 6/1 and State Man at 7/1 (I thought they'd send CH chasing), all of which are odds on now but they're across Lucky 15s with NRs and no hopers.

Never been and not a huge racing fan but as a small stakes occasional gambler I always have a few bets on the festival. 365 and Paddy Power always have some free bets and I follow a guy on Twitter (Andy Robson Tips) who's probably in the indirect employ of the firms but does post some reasonably well informed beys and tips. Ended the week up for last couple of years so I'll be enjoying it again this year I hope

Lovely restaurant apart from the smell of garlic Decent view as well You'll often spot an ex footballer Enjoy 👍

The Sunday of the November meeting is lovely and relaxed, the Saturday a little busy but pleasant enough. Used to go the Thursday and Friday at Aintree, but the Friday has just become a piss up since it was marketed as Ladies Day. Not been the Curragh since it's been rebuilt - used to go the Guineas days and Irish Derby years ago More the jumps these days, so Punchestown, Leopardstown and Fairyhouse more recently visited.

it snowed last time i went, and the irish win everything now - so its a no from me, as is Aintree on GN day. Love my racing, but i'd rather be wandering around a half empty paddock at Bangor. Ludlow or Uttoxeter.

I love the Curragh Yep Aintree was ruined , never went to the National itself. As for Ascot...once was enough

Used to go the November meeting for all 3 days. When the Sunday meeting first started it was pretty reasonable to stay in guest houses, after a few years though the cost went through the roof. It was a decent night out as well around town.

Stay in Tewkesbury, far enough out
Loads of real ale pubs
Wetherspoons does great digs, but other b+bs available for reasonable price for the November meeting

I live in Cheltenham and have for a while.
I always go, town is absolutely heaving but it’s a great atmosphere.
Great pubs aswell.

Had a few e.w. wins today, but did better at Sedgefield, tomorrow i'll do better at huntingdon.
Cheltenham is becoming the horse racing equivalent of formula 1. A few big stables with all the money dominating the whole thing.
