Had a few e.w. wins today, but did better at Sedgefield, tomorrow i'll do better at huntingdon. Cheltenham is becoming the horse racing equivalent of formula 1. A few big stables with all the money dominating the whole thing. Huntingdon was plenty of fun and the races were easier to read. my 15p ew super yankee won 11-2 4th 33-1 (sadly only paid first 3) 2nd 125-1 6th 25-1 won 40-1 All 3 that lost had a chance at the last of at least a place, the 125-1 horse actually led at the last but made a mess of jumping it and got outstayed on the run in. That cost me a 15p win treble which would have paid ----- £6000! oh well...it made for an exciting afternoon.

Bet boost a little trickier today.
Ginny's Destiny got every chance of scuppering it. I might swerve it today.

Too many races nowadays is the major factor. The festival should be all about seeing the best going up against the best but because of how many races there are you now just get one good horse (Maybe two if you're lucky) lining up in each of the 97 different options available to them. Novice hurdles should have two races, one over 2m & one over 3m, it should be the exact same for novice chasers. Older hurdlers it should be the same again, Champion Hurdle over 2m, stayer hurdles over 3m. Chasers get the Champion Chase over 2m & the Gold Cup over 3m2f. Scrap all the 2m4f/2m5f for both novices & older horses, hurdles & fences, and absolutely scrap all the mares shit. Keep the big handicaps like the Coral Cup & County Hurdle, keep the cross-country as it's something different. The last two days have been shit, filled with uncompetitive races with odds-on favourites... At least today & tomorrow are a bit better. You can easily lose a day of the festival, but of course they wont do it 'cos four days of 60,000 punters earns them more than three days of 70,000. They're more likely to make it five days than reduce it back to three, so we can expect even smaller, even less competitive fields in the future.

It's almost guaranteed to go to 5 days in the near future. I've become completely bored by the whole thing if I'm honest.

The Skeltons having it off this week!
First 3 races going to GB today, including the first 3 home in the opener, and the first 6 home in the Pertemps.

Good to see the Skeltons flying the flag for the home team. Four winners for them so far.
on the downside I was big on Kyntara, who made almost every yard but done out of it on the post by Sir Alex Ferguson. Money goes to Money...
