Let's not beat around the bush, this is an absolutely huge week for our club.
I hope the players realise the extent to which this week could make or break things. Ben Wilmot's meek "it's just another game against QPR" concerned me somewhat, it wasn't exactly a Vince Overson style battle cry to get the juices flowing.
As much as I've been critical of the players, Martin, Dublin and even to some extent, SS, we need you all to come together this week to get the results we need. On the pitch on Wednesday, if the players go out full of heart and desire, the fans will back you all the way.
Go on Stoke.

I reckon it'll sadly be yet another lacklustre performance and the tension in the crowd will boil over if (when) QPR score first.
I really hope I'm wrong but I don't think it's going to end well.

Wilmot's response to how big a game Wednesday was worried me. He's probably playing it down, but sometimes you need your senior players to stand up and admit what we need to do. He makes Josh Laurent look like Maximus Decimus Meridius mind.

Getting the 1st goal in both these games is vital, cliche or not. If we concede first, given the morale in the squad, then it's an absolute mountain to climb. One thing is for sure, after these 2 games we'll know if these players have the minerals to battle through this relegation dog fight. Its not looking good on that front so far 😞

I agree. We have to score first, we need the crowd up after 15 mins not down as it seems to be every week at the moment.
QPR know we are fragile and I think that’s what they’ll try and do and score within the first ten. Then pick us off as we labour in possession. I also think if we lose this week (both games) I do believe we don’t have the character to win many more games this season.

If they can't get themselves up for this week then they really can fuck off.

What they need to do is show that video to the Foo Fighters, The Pretender, in the dressing room before the game. Show these players how it is this is the Stoke City way.

I am sure Wilmot cares. Oratory is not really his thing though.
If you're hoping for the inspiration of Winston Churchill and the coruscating wit of Oscar Wilde in his post-match interviews I'm afraid you are going to be disappointed.
And yes, it's a huge week coming up!

Surely we’ll beat QPR? Surely? You'd have thought so wouldn't you. Then again back in August you'd have thought no chance we get relegated this season with all these new signings coming in 🤔 😒

I'm actually feeling quite scared about it now. The reality of going down has really started to sink in for me. If we drop into the bottom 3 on Wednesday and keep Schuey on, then we won't get out of there.

We have to win on Wednesday and no other result is good enough. I hope the players realise how big the game is in our great clubs history. They need to step up and fight for everything and they will get the backing.

4 points minimum next 2 games I agree that's the minimum that we need (ideally 6) but I think we'll be very lucky to even get 2.

When will enough managers being sacked be enough to make folk realise that the manager role is not the problem. Literally every other position at the club is.

Not losing on Wednesday is absolutely critical but we desperately need that win, as we have some ropey fixtures coming up and QPR could potentially get 3 points against Rotherham.

He’s a problem if he has either lost the dressing room or tries to play a system that clearly doesn’t work for these players.

I'm really not a moaner or groaner at games and I'd love for nothing more than to shout them to victory, but it's reciprocal. They need to show their hearts are in it, and I don't think half of them are even remotely arsed or understand what it means. We need blood and thunder, but I think we'll get fannying around and falling over. Two wins this week would be huge. Please, Stoke, just turn up. Hoof it and win 1-0 if you have to, just don't let us down.

Stoke already Down Never once thought we’d be in trouble ,this season, until Saturday Watching that shit-show had me convinced we’re gone Doesn’t matter who you play/in what formation…. There’s no fight In this team Shame GREAT fans !!! Most fans have stuck with them throughout another poor season , but Saturday they definitely turned

The players need to find the fight and the ones who aren't need to be called out for it by the players who are showing it. After Saturday it is hard to find hope but hope is all we've got at the minute mate.

Most fans have stuck with them throughout another poor season , but Saturday they definitely turned I'm sad to say i feel exactly the same, am not sure where to look for any glimmer of hope, recruitment dire, Ricky Martin seems like a fraud, Shuey feels like he's out of his depth and has probably lost the dressing room/team don't trust him. Team seem like they are a bunch of individuals, can't be bothered or confidence in tatters. Where on god's earth do we go from here if not down. What can we reasonably do right now to save ourselves from the drop?

These are different and desperate times calls for desperate measures, If John Coates brought the whole team into a crisis meeting and said look we know half of you don't want to be here and are only interested in the money you bunch of mercenary w*nkers but hear me out if you can get us to safety you'll all get a non-relegation bonus... then you can foook-off if you want and whoever stays will get a big bonus for finishing in the top half...or even greater play-offs next season.
