A couple of Million for 2 wind breaks. I’m tendering for that job. 😂 You'd be surprised. Two very big spans to be filled. And the way build costs have been going I wouldn't be surprised if it was more to be honest.

I don't understand why we don't fill in the 2 open corners at the stadium. Even if it was just a semi permanent design to simply stop the howling wind coming in. In my boredom at the Sheff Wed debacle I did notice at one point that all 4 corner flags were actually all blowing in different directions. I mean that must make playing lengthy passes very challenging. And might explain why our home games are so poor. Are we trying to play football in a mini cyclone when its windy? Its at least got to be a leveller for visiting teams and contributing to our terrible home record. A couple of million quid boarding it up somehow would surely be small beer if it were to make playing conditions better. And we might be a bit warmer as well 🥶 Don't forget that every time a corner has been built at the ground, it's been followed by a relegation To be fair we've only filled one in or did I miss one. My memory isn't the best 🤔 😁

Sorry for teasing, I think you missed my gist. The first corner was built in 1997 (when the rest of the ground was built).. we were relegated at the end of that season

We got relegated because we filled that corner in. It’s as simple as that. I don’t know why folk are so blinkered on Charlie’s penalty miss etc.

We don't have a manager... We have a team hovering above the relegation zone... Div 1 is closer than the Premier league.
Yet some think spending a few million on filling the corners is what our board should be focusing on... unbelievable Jeff!

The ground is absolutely abysmal in just about every conceivable way. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, we only paid about £15 million in 1998 for the stadium, and a couple of million, filling in,the score board corner, arsenals emirates stadium cost about £350 million, and Tottenhams ground cost £1 BILLION,i know that, in todays money, it probably, would have cost nearer £80 million, to build,so I think, other than the open corners, and the miserly cost,we have a decent stadium, its just a pity, we can’t make it a fortress, and start playing attractive, winning, football.

There shouldn't even be corners to fill.
When you build a new stadium, you are entirely free to build it properly.

rebuild the old Vic, on top of the new housing state, on stilts that look like potbanks. A new oatcake shaped roof. A tram system taking you to the ground from anywhere in the city in less than three minutes. The manager and coaching staff to sit in a tank on matchdays. At last a sensible solution, but why would the coaching staff sit in a tank ? Do you mean a sort of hot water tank wrapped in a plastic jacket or maybe an Chieftain army tank with a big gun for shooting referees or our players who are playing shit or opposition players who are playing good. However, the stadium on stilts with an oatcake roof is brilliant, we could call it the bacon & cheese stadium. Chieftain tank

how about a train station in 1 corner and a bus station in the other 😁 And can we perhaps get some momentum, as a matter of priority, behind the campaign to reconstruct, brick by brick, the Sea Lion and Talbot, right outside the ground? Prices to be pitched at 1973/74 levels. With alcohol openly available to minors.

I suggest two multi-story car parks, one in each corner of the ground with a total capacity of 10,000 cars. Multiple exits direct to the A50, A500 and Stanley Matthews Way. And moving walkways and escalators direct to your seat in the stadium.
Perfect solution

In my opinion, we have a crap home record because there is no urgency in playing the ball forwards and teams can simply absorb pressure when your two playmakers are central defenders that aren’t that good on the ball.

I presume the coaching of the first team would be done by different people within the club than those working on infrastructure but maybe that is why we are going wrong. Coming up with that fan park idea must have cost us a few points due to lack of focus.
