Completely unrelated to Nathan. Got off the London train at Stoke Station and went across to the North Stafford for a pint one night in the late 70’s and stood next to a guy, about the same build as myself, average!!. I thought I know you from somewhere? couldn’t place him at first…….then it dawned on me. It was John Conteh 😂😂😂😂😂. Quiet and unassuming guy That the same 'quiet and unassuming' John Conteh who, alongside his drinking buddy Lewis Collins famously wrecked the bar of the old Durose on the A34 some years back?

He’s at Terrace’s Hanley tonight 6-9pm. You can go for a photo with himself & his belts & also take anything with you which you would like signing. 👍

Just heard Nathan Heaney on Talksport and he was amazing, chatting about his fight on Saturday, his career pathway & his City, fans & football club.
What an absolute warrior Nath was during the fight on Saturday & I'll endorse what he said during his interview that many lesser men would have gone down when Brad Paul's momentarily had the upper hand & he was fighting for the knockout as he knew he was playing catch up.
Nathan is a true Braveheart, & it's just a pity we don't have a squad full of Nathan Heaneys wearing his beloved Red & White shirts at the moment as he has the heart & determination a lot of that team who played against Norwich seriously lack!
I'll excempt Burger from that broader criticism as he does exhume a passion and belief that Nathan would be proud of, & that's amazing from a Dutch guy who is purely employed by Stoke to do a job, so if anything is even more kudos to him for that extra effort and passion 👏🏻. Imagine a squad of Wouter Burgers & Nathan Heaneys and we'd have one amazing team!
Well done Nath, & thanks for keeping Stoke City and Stoke On Trent relevant in the Sporting World.
