I know people have a major hard on for Hoever on this board but we have stick with this kid. He's clearly got the raw attributes to be more than good enough at this level. I feel like he was asked to do things very alien to him last season, I think in time all that will come. Stick to the basics for now and he'll be a more solid RB than Hoever for me. Has the potential to be a bery dynamic right back for the next 5+ years. He is good enough to play in the championship already and he is a better defender than hoever. Junior is undoubtedly a great athlete with a good attitude and plenty of potential. However, to date he has not shown much in terms of positional sense or overall game reading. Hopefully this season he will show improvement but I am not banking on it.

I feel like he was asked to do things very alien to him last season, I think in time all that extra offensive ability will come. Stick to the basics for now and he'll be a more solid RB than Hoever for me, especially now we have Bocat on the left, it's not as necessary to have a flying RB at all times. Definitely. You saw Stevens committing less frequently last few games of the season whilst Hoever bombed on. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the responsibilities flipped to the other side of the pitch this season and that’d be helpful for Junior. Mistakes will happen, but hopefully his athleticism will help him to get himself out of trouble a bit.

Whilst he’s still inverting it was no where near as aggressive last night. He has all the physical attributes. But is clearly nowhere near as technical as Hoever.

Not a direct comparison, but Walker at City often compensate for his positional weaknesses with pace and power. I really like what I see from Tchamadeu when one on one defensively, I like his aggression and I like his pace which I think is needed for a fullback in today's football.

Hell make me laugh this season that's for sure.
Last night a sublime nutmeg, drives forward and then.....slices the ball 20 yards wide

Reminds me of an over excitable puppy when he’s on the pitch. He’s still young nowhere near the finished article but has good potential. People just need to be patient with him he’ll have some great games and some bad games. Just need to keep off his back when he has a bit of a bad spell.

I’ve been critical of him in the past but thought he was excellent 2nd half. Well done Junior.

He runs down too many blind alleys for my liking still, he has to keep it simple more when in possession.

He runs down too many blind alleys for my liking still, he has to keep it simple more when in possession. It's usually when he makes a run inside and that's when he'll give the ball away in the middle of the pitch. Wish he'd stop doing that. Otherwise he played well today, looked more comfortable on the ball.

Apart from his ridiculous give away towards the end he was very good today.
Arguably our best player on the day but I think Canon, Seko, Stevens and Philips each have a shout for that accolade

He had a good game today.
One swallow doesn't make a summer though. Let's see if he can keep it up.

These players need to learn to take a breath and slow the game down sometimes, we treat the ball like a hot potato.

Showed glimpses of his potential today, rode his luck a few times but good to see pelach’s faith in playing him pay off last couple of games. Much better with Phillips alongside mind you. Pleased for him though, overall a good game. Up the potters!

He's starting to use that big frame more to block off the opposition from the ball. Aside from a pass or two, thought he was good as well.

Yes played well today. Just needs to release it quicker at times and not try to do too much. Just keep it simple. Million on the other hand needs a rocket up his arse. He got caught in possession so many times and falls over like a girl.

His best game all season for me.
I thought him and Cannon were our best players in what was a disjointed mess of a game.
Junior imposed himself well and the drop of the shoulder run down the line second half is exactly what he's capable of.
