Looks like the outdoor picnic area adjacent to the now defunct Little Chef off the A14 near Stowmarket! Not necessarily somewhere one would wish to dwell for any extended period of time 😕 I tend to agree with you so it's probably not for me. But I have longed been baffled as to why football clubs in general haven't shown the initiative to get supporters to the ground earlier and get them to stay longer. So overdue but fair play to the owners, I hope it's a success. I reckon when you've been freezing your tits off for 2 hours in the bet365 you can't wait to get into a warm car, coach or train. Think most people just want to have easy safe access to the football match with reasonably priced tea, coffee or beer.

Don’t think it needs to be fully covered but some is needed and there’s none in that picture? I think you’re being a tad dramatic before it’s been built. I expect it to be used regularly. It shouldn't be beyond the wit of man (even Stoke City) to throw a waterproof cover up over part of it even as an after thought. Lots of beer gardens have them even retractable ones, they can't be that expensive. They could even stick electric patio heaters under them. A pair of Neville Southall's old shorts should do it

From the designs it looks like it’s going to replace the north car park by the boothen. Most of that north car park is disabled parking are they moving the spaces ?

Looks like is on the old N1 to me which was extra hospitality parking. Hard to see on my phone though. I guess if we were going to do it, was always going to be there as really not many options Looks quite good to be fair. Didn't really see the relevance of having one to be honest but see the attraction now,. We just need BBQ cook outs in the Summer now and we can forget the pain of what happens between 3-5 pm

Assume it means those small covers along the edge, it’s nowhere near enough. The pub next to Notts county ground had a superb setup outside with a proper structure

It would have been better to spend the money on widening the concourse in the boothen end and having an indoor zone given the exposure of the stadium on the hill.

I think is a good idea Mr Suitcase and probably a lot more practical than actual structural work. Asgree re the exposure though but not much we can do re that but hopefully will have heaters ...and Haircut 100 piped 24 hours of course although no Hayward solo stuff The food items will make it a hit or miss for me

So overdue but fair play to the owners, I hope it's a success. This was actually a initiative that was rolled out as part of the Young Enterprise scheme, linked with the premier league (so a while ago) whereby students would design an idea that would do just what you said, the winners would then have their idea initiated across the Prem. Not sure the eventual winner.

At last night's loyalty night. Simon King said it would be half covered. It would have independent food vendors that would change frequently and they hoped to have it up and ready for the Euros. He said it should hold at least 1000

It was great in Hamburg in glorious sunshine and then after the match with free beer, I hope they have free beer on ... The Sainkt Pauli one was brilliant. Met some great locals after the game in the fan park who I still stay in contact with today. Never saw or used the one at HSV though when we played them, we found a little beer garden in some woods 10 min walk from the ground and used that instead, surreal footballing experience. Love the fan culture in Germany, for an English football fan it’s possibly the best in the world. Ah yes, the SKA band in the evening after the game was great. Last I saw of my lad that evening was 2 German girls taking him off from the fan zone into the Fairground.

Don't see the attraction myself! To be honest can see your point, not really my thing but they seem popular enough and no harm to those who don't want to go. Nice to see them doing something new though and seems to be plenty of interest in it

I've personally never been to one, the closest experience I can consider is when we take over an entire pub when away. My only concern is that it will be hard to make a fenced off section of a car park, not look like a holding pen in Guantanamo Bay.

Some had folk with those Ghostbuster pack beer dispensers which have seen at Ascot races /The Curragh and a few other places which mean no queuing up etc if you want a scoop. Not one for those real ales or whatever they call them so a different matter then I guess if theyre planning on having them for folk with beards.

This seems great and it looks like the club have really put some thought into how they can make this into something that will really add to the match day experience. It will be interesting to see what the end product looks like.
I think that the club have done some good stuff this season in terms of fan engagement. Open training sessions, meet the signings, meet the manager, 20 year season ticket celebrations, and now this planned fan zone.
It is nice to see us being a little more proactive! 👍

It is quite interesting, because I feel like Simon King has kept a relatively low profile and has just been quietly going about his business whilst doing some work.
