I don't think he's ever commanded a fee in his entire career, I can't see it being much this time of it happens. Bayern is probably right, around 500k is likely

Another supporter classic of a player who we would really really struggle to replace with better , we’ve still to replace Campbell yet and replacing Laurent who be another big hill we dont need right now . They were two critical players in our end of season uptick , I trust the club leadership but this supporter I’ll drive him myself is nonsense .

"By August we'll be a totally different club" Your words. If they turn out to be true then the totally different club will recognise the likes of Campbell and Laurent needed replacing anyway if the club was to progress, and the totally different club will have no issues in replacing them. It seems you aren't truly believing your words.

Laurent for me is potentially a beast of a player but I'm not confident enough that he will get anywhere near his potential. I don't really mind if he stays or goes

So we have new keeper , new coach , new centre half , new left back , new training building approved , new fan zone , 7 or 8 players left , away fans moved and it’s not the end of June we undoubtedly will be a very different club by what’s already accursed and huge change development will continue through the next three months .

We can’t afford to buy better than Campbell, there is a long list of Laurent upgrades. Last season he got more cards than goals plus assists. He is not very creative and awful at tracking his man eg WBA at home last season. He does a few good runs, usually with no end product, and people think he is having a good game. Getting money for him would be a steal

Firstly he’s no captain. When the chips are down he hides. Needs replacing first job. As a player I don’t see what he actually does, what his strengths are? At 29 it’s an opportunity to move him on and bring in fresh legs for the future.

Would like to keep but not as captain so probably a good thing if we can get some money for a sale. Can't imagine he'd want to stay if someone else is made captain

This is where I struggle to understand supporters, not having a go here Benj but we’ve been awful beyond belief for a long time and not looking like remotely breaking into the top ten, scoring has been farcical and Campbell only looked interested towards the end of the season. For me JL is a very average player and again only looked interested when results started to improve and 100% not captain material. I want a new chapter for Stoke not a repeat of the past 7-8 years or so which means new and better players coming in to replace average players.

Same reason why I don't want Hoever to come back again, a few good performances can't make up for months of being totally inept. Having the tools to be a decent player at this level and not making the most of them is even more disappointing than just being plainly shit.

While he has a contract he can stay, draw his money and sit on his arse if he has a mind to.

They've bought the Athletic I think - and then binned off their sports section and just basically subsumed the Athletic into the New York Times brand.

We need to sell players where we can still realise some value, he’s one of those where we could get a million or so and then reinvest into a younger player.
We will miss his athleticism and ball carrying though.
Can see Baker and Johnson going too, so there will be space for a new midfield player or two.

We know all to well how quickly these things CAN turn. With Campbell going and everyone seemingly happy to see baker go, there’s basically Fielding and Wilmot who has been at the club over 12 months.

He's almost got to leave really.
Keeping him makes little sense. He has 6 good games a year realistically. We'll never get top 6 with a midfielder that doesn't turn up for 40 games a year.
