Maybe his agent has told him off to Ajax and there's no need for him to do his stuff until pre-season for them? Didn't someone say Chris Wilder was watching us the other week, and that they were interested in Wouter? He deserves to be playing a better standard that what we're offering in all honesty, even if his recent form isn't great. I don't think we've made the most of his attributes at all. I think his current level of the Championship is about right. |

The bloke is nothing short of a disgrace to the shirt. Yet again, a non performance where this time he let a 34 year old Barry Bannan run rings round him, and yet again we had the old throwing the arms up to the crowd routine when he needs to look no further than the mirror.

Agree Bannan all 5’5 of him bossed the midfield today , Laurent was shit apart from his goal line clearance at the end . So can’t really say much , but he’s shit most weeks anyway .

I don't think his problem is ability, it's application. We just don't see a good performance from him anywhere near enough. It used to be if the team was already winning but even that's gone now. I think the captaincy was meant to help him, give him some pride and get him to set an example for the rest of the squad but its just not happened. Just another who has come here and settled into turning up occasionally. When he came here Reading fans said he's a bit injury prone but they were gutted he was leaving. He also seems the opposite of those players who can read a game and anticipate play, always a few thoughts slower than the opposition. |

He's an absolute unit and gets around the pitch really well and has been part of the reason for our turn around.
Pleased he's at the club and if I was him, who is a much better player than our league position, receiving constant abuse I'd leave in the summer.
If he's looking for an area to improve, it would be his finesse with his touch or his passing.

For me the midfield needs a complete reboot, Baker & Laurant just don't offer enough game to game over a season. The midfield next season, needs to be much more mobile and quicker around the pitch..Bannan yesterday, despite his age, what a committed and clever player he has been and is. We could have done with his type yesterday.
