I'm just curious as to how SJW will react if a player threatens to go on strike, because the club won't sell him. That is after all what SJW did himself towards the end of his career, when Burnley came in for him, and at first was turned away. Did that happen at Ipswich too? I heard it did but can’t recall the details, or if it was even true. |

Easier to just be negative, so that if we don't piss the league next season, people can say that they were right, all along. We have multi billionaire owners that can afford the best of the best yet time and again they take either the easy or cheap option, and when that doesn't work they throw lazy money at it in desperation - like they did after relegation that was caused by taking the easy option of keeping Hughes too long and the lazy option of appointing Lambert. I hope it works for the club but I don't hold out much hope that it will. If Walters hadn't have played for us the vast majority would be questioning why the hell he was here having only 6 months experience at a poor League One club. The same people applauding this applauded the Delap appointment as a coach before turning on him 2/3 years later when they realised just how shit he was as a coach. Out of interest what factual evidence do you have of Delap being a poor coach? Rumour, personal opinion or the fact that he was sacked by an atrocious manager. |

Seems like the kind who learns quickly from his mistakes and has proven he knows how to make the very most of any opportunities he gets.
Hopefully we’ve stumbled on a management structure and team who can get us moving in the right direction with some real impetus.

We could have made ourselves a top 6-10 club if we wanted to. Clearly if Coates said we were punching then there was no appetite for that which is a real shame. And tbh what’s the fucking point if you’ve got all that money? You look at Brighton and the stadium, training ground and academy they have as a legacy. We kind of have that but everything to a much lower level. The new improvement to the training ground though is much needed but still won’t put it amongst the best. And I don’t think for the money they have, that is too much to ask for. It just seems like a great opportunity missed. What is the legacy? Not much and that’s the sad reality of it. I enjoyed it lots thanks. |
