How on earth has King been dragged into this?
He’s the only one down there in the gaggle of hysterical fuckwits that we employ that is actually good at his job.

Loads of ex-pros have all kinds of badges. His CV isn’t unique. Surely more than fits the bill for a short-term, crowd-pleasing interim role while we take stock though. Don't think we'd have been snowed under with applicants to hold the fort until the summer Think it’s great for to get fans on side. But they’ll get loads more impressive CV’s of they advertise. But I hope it all works out, I’d love SJW to make a good go of it.

Think this could be a masterstroke...
Fuckwit out Hero in.
If this is part of a cull to sort out the toxicity at our Club then I'm all for it.
Who knows? But at least JC is being proactive.
Reckon SS might be feeling a tad better tonight??

I don't think that he would return after the way that he was treated by the club after sorting it out. Also Martin is currently unemployed. Both MONs are the calibre of people that we should be looking for, not taking a gamble on a former player with no experience. We have to get the next appointment right. I like Schu, but I honestly don't think that he is up to the job. If I am right then we are going to need someone who is knowledgeable to help appoint our next Manager. One who will be here for at least 5 years and give us stability. All this chopping and changing hasn't worked for any club, as even Watford has shown. Yes both would be worthy. I think Schuey needs proper support so he can just focus on coaching. I think he is the right man but it's hard to judge. I don't think we have seen the best of him yet because the club is just a mess. I would like us to see what he can do with a sound system in place to back him up. He excites me and I just want us to see us give him a proper chance

It's quite funny how a small handful of people are getting really pissy about this appointment while the vast majority are correctly happy about it. What's funny is that people are getting excited about a temporary appointment to a strategic role just because the appointment is a popular ex player. I'm sure everyone wishes SJW well but it is a weird decision. Given Martin was effectively brought in by Neil (which in itself was odd) the sensible thing would have been to sack Martin, make a more considered decision about the Technical Director role, sack Neil and then appoint a new coach/manager. What the club have done is completely back to front. This might have helpful side effects - effectively Martin has become the lightening rod for all the shit that would have been directed at Schumacher and buys him more time and as a popular ex player SJW may up the feel good factor. However in terms of recruitment to a strategic role it makes no sense whatsoever.

Reckon SS might be feeling a tad better tonight?? I think your right about the cull of toxicity, a new man who wants the best for the club close to his heart, no history and cliques to hide behind. He'll we able to talk to all employees at all levels with no prejudice,no one worrying about what they say to him In case it comes back to bite them. He'll be able to build a picture of whose pulling in the right direction and who needs shifting out.. he might even give mmae a body check to show what a real forward is all about

And also that for now he has given Schumacher a massive vote of confidence. Sometimes it takes a bit of chaos and seemingly left field decisions for the right path to be found. But for me the most important thing is that this move will definitely galvanise the team and fans for a very important upcoming 3 months. Just my opinion of course...

If AN had no say in the recruitment process other than stipulate to Martin what he required, then was AN unnecessarily sacked when the blame rests with Martin?

Yes I totally understand his role, and from what someone who used to work at the Club told me, he is cut from the same cloth as Martin. From the moment those two walked into the Club, they have overseen a toxic culture where anyone who isn’t a yes person is fecked off pretty sharpish. They both peddle the five pillars of bullshit which seduced the board into appointing them without the proper skills required. The only difference is one has been found out sooner as it’s more obvious. Nonsense, you’re trying to dig yourself out of a hole. You know nothing Why would I make it up? Just because you don’t want to believe it doesn’t mean it isn’t true. I’m sure there are other people who know people who work/worked at the Club who can say what he is really like. Probably depends though on whether they are one of his yes people. Anyway, today they board have made the right decision, now it’s about getting the next appointment right.

Something has evidently happened during the week to tip things over the edge.
