The bottom three now will be the bottom three come the end of the season assuming QPR don't pull the trigger on Gary Ainsworth early.

Rotherham didn’t find Southampton as difficult as we did…or Norwich So what. We've put them away comfortably twice. They're shite and will finish below us.

I think that, as it stands (and it can all change can't it - remember us, Luton and Barnsley were all cut adrift by Christmas and we all stayed up a few years back) then I would have to say that Sheffield Wednesday (absolute basket case there) and Rotherham (they just don't have the quality or the clout to consolidate long term at this level, they are punching well above their weight just getting here) look like goners. The third spot will be one of us or QPR - Huddersfield and maybe Watford could get dragged into it too.

QPR, Rotherham and Sheffield Wednesday, come on down. Just hope we have enough to stay above those three - it's apparent we're relegation fodder this season. Stoke QPR Rotherham They're my three for the drop How can you see us below Wednesday?!

Stoke QPR Rotherham They're my three for the drop How can you see us below Wednesday?! My mates said this when I posited this earlier, however, there's always a Lazarus side that looks dead and buried though but who then go on a miraculous run to escape. I don't know why but I've got a feeling that it might be them (plus, they're bound to pick up some 'new manager bounce' points when they appoint a new boss, like every other club aside from Stoke do for some reason).

Luckily yes there are three worse teams than us is the short answer.
I think once the injuries start to clear up and we are out of this nasty run of fixtures we should pick up enough to be comfortably safe.

The bottom three now will be the bottom three come the end of the season assuming QPR don't pull the trigger on Gary Ainsworth early. It very rarely works out that bottom three after a dozen games end up being the teams who go down. For a start, as you say, there will be managerial changes. Sheffield Wednesday are as good as gone, especially if their owner means what he says about not putting any money into the club. Rotherham di look in real trouble. But there will be ups and downs for all the other teams in and around the area for now. It's far too early to say the bottom three remain static, especially when so many teams in the bottom seven or eight have yet to play each other.

Whoever the next manager is sole objective this season now is to stay up Totally disagree, with a couple of astute signings in January to balance the squad and a decent manager we should be looking for a mid table finish.

Absolutely, this is a good squad when it’s not on the treatment table. Even a semi-competent manager could get a tune out of this team.

A couple of very good signings in the right positions turns this squad into top half material, the kind of team that’s always a nice run of results away from the playoffs but never quite makes it. But without those key players we’ll lose most of our games.
It’s a shame Neil didn’t figure that out as he built the thing in the summer.

When we were heading for relegation from the Prem, there were too many who thought we would do what Leicester are doing now. Look how that's turned out.

Yes I think there are 3 worse teams and we won’t get relegated but bottom half finish a distinct likelihood and it’s all down to the charlatan Gollum - he should be relieved of his duties with immediate effect - anyone but anyone could do no worse……

No still. I don't see any other teams as clueless as ours. Birmingham City perhaps on an even keel right now?! 🙄😬 As for the clubs below us, we've performed poorly against all of them barring Rotherham, but we play them early in the new year so potentially that stat could quickly change. Right now & especially after today, I wouldn't have any confidence in us playing anyone in the Champo right now & us beating them. Playing Birmingham City twice within a month could prove to be a vitally important fixture for the futures of both clubs as right now, them & us look as clueless as each other.

Think Rotherham have one of the relegation slots stitched up - they just haven't got the quality/resources to sustain at this level for more than a season or so - even we put 10 past them over 2 games so they must be woeful!
At this moment in time, based on form, it's then between us, Brum and Huddersfield - QPR have hit form (new manager bounce?) plus do seem to have enough names/quality (Bego, Colback, Chair) to maybe pull out of it. Weds have found a little bit of form (again, new manager bounce?) but they are a poor poor side who are still 8 points behind us, so their poor start might well still be fatal. Millwall look God awful too, as do Watford, Swansea and Plymouth, but due to the absolute rancidness of the bottom 6, they should survive reasonably comfortably.
The scary thing is that apart from a couple of sides (Leicester, Ipswich and Leeds), this is an utterly, utterly shite division. I think it tells you everything that Burnley and Sheffield United (who walked to promotion last season) are whipping boys up in the prem.
