Alex: OK, you’re injured. Player: Boss, no, I’m not. I’m fine. Alex: sorry, it’s your turn. I can do two weeks or three. It’s either you or me. If I don’t have an excuse, I’m gone.

He's going to have stop losing football matches to stay .
Percentage wise , he loses more games than a ' he's lost it ' , unhinged Nathan Jones.
He loses more games than a dour ' operating in an extremely harsh financial straight jacket until he can unload every one on prem contracts ' MoN .
He can't carry on losing more games than NJ and MoN and stay . That's just crazy.
He has to stop losing football matches or go .

lose saturday and that’s 10pts out 12 games , 0.8pts per game , that’s sacked anyway and surely will be here after a dismal 13 months in charge, i couldn’t give a toss about his past record it’s means nothing as Stoke fans we judge his time here and he’s been extremely crap if we’re honest

I think he'll get to Christmas at the very earliest. You don't just change 17 players, perform and get results like theyve played together for 12 months, it's unrealistic and JC will know it. That's not even mentioning injuries and half the new squad coming from overseas so I think you'll be desperately disappointed if you expect any immediate change. Under different circumstances I'd agree with you but these are unique I think you're being very kind, fair play to you. But the reality is he's had 16 odd months and the team has gone backwards. No matter how that's chopped up its a woeful situation. He should already be gone in reality but I'm giving him these next 3 games. He doesn't have to win them all but at the very least we need to see some signs that he actually has a clue what he's doing. Because up till now I ain't seen owt. That's not the reality though is it, the reality is he was hired immediately after the transfer window shut last term and as a result had to soldier on with what everyone agreed to becan absolutely awful good for nothing squad full of players who knew they wouldnt be here this season. Now they are gone, JC isn't about to fire a man that has just signed 17 new players until its really obvious there are no excuses in acclimatising players and injuries, rightly so too. The Coates will judge a man on his players when they can actually play

Plenty of other managers come into clubs and improve them very quickly. That's what competent managers should be able to do. He's failed on every count. He should already be gone but I'll give him the next 3 games and if I see nothing positive I'll be fully signed up to the sacked in the morning brigade. But fair play, I admire your belief hes going to turn it around and just needs time. I just hope he doesn't leave us rooted to the bottom of the table come xmas. Because it'll be hard to recover from that position.

And I've nothing against the man. He has a half decent managerial record. It could just be a bad fit between him and the club. I won't get into the fact that the real problem lies upstairs though. They are very clearly struggling to run the club successfully and have been for 7 years the big dumbos

I'm concerned because we like coming out of these international breaks "flat." (As a witch's tit?) Pulling that this time would prove fatal to our season and AN's tenure really quick.
Don't have much against AN either, but he needs to be consistent in his approach and emulate other managers who set up right and maximize the potential of what they have available. Injuries have hampered that, but we need a bottoms-up reevaluation of our strength/conditioning because this has been an issue for years. I'm thinking of all these soft-tissue/muscle pulls we continually see. On the impact-injury side, Wilmot needs to quit ramming goal posts.
Our defense was a big piss & miss in our last window. Fine, then use what you have - emphasize offense and try to keep the opposition defending against us. Practice finishing/attacking every day and go after every single team we play. And when we go up 1-0, keep attacking! Opens us up to counterattacks but ffs we're not good enough on defense to do any "bus parking" with any positive result. (And nobody wants to pay to watch that) Still think a lot of our defensive issues could be mostly resolved with coaching, but we also need a strong on-pitch leader out there.
These international breaks are nerve-wrenching, both when you charge into one with momentum or like us, creep into one with a sigh of relief. Have noticed that the opinions and frustrations intensify during these lulls, which is understandable.

The excuses that are made for him are just ridiculous. 1. They weren't his players. 2. No Preseason. So players weren't fit. 3.Nobody could get a tune out of those players. This season: They are his players, still no preseason. We have had 2 International breaks (4 weeks) to get ourselves organised and look even more disorganised than we did at the beginning of the season.

I really think he is going to be given the full season as to ditch another manager just isn’t going to fly with the hierarchy and especially with all the fanfare re tricky Dicky and Google boy. The same old excuses will be wheeled out- time to integrate, unlock with injuries etc all with the hope that somehow something clicks. Best case scenario we do pick up second half of the season, retain our championship status with another dour 16th to 20th position. Worst case scenario we are relegated having never looked anything different to what we are now, an absolute shambles. AN is starting to get right on my tits, all this shit about tactical awareness and setting up differently for each bloody game. Somebody needs to tell him to start with the bloody basics like getting a team that can play one formation well, competes from minute one and doesn’t look shagged after 60 minutes. I used to hate playing Preston when he was manager, they were physical, dirty and direct. How the hell he has gone from producing that (which is just what we need) to the powder puff shite we are watching is beyond incredulity. If I didn’t know any better I would say he is working for unknown entities to specifically get us relegated.

Had over a full season- done an awful job.
We are worse than when he joined. Talks a good game coaches a pile of shite.
Needs results immediately. I can’t think of anyone, including Mad Nathan or chris Kamara who would have achieved less with the resources he has been given.

Doeesn't matter if he won X Factor and was voted rear of the year previously, counts for nothing . The only thingthat matters is the job he's doing here which certainly isn't moving us forward in any sense. Yet. I do think you're making an error judging this manager on last seasons squad and you're too early to judge him on this seasons. Why other managers have considerably outperformed him in similar situations You could say the same thing about Mad Nath (don’t judge on previous season and give me time and the daft fucker nearly relegated us) Neil has failed and is continuing to fail, change needed urgently

Call me old fashioned but I like to see what a manager can do building his own team. We're only at first base, another window is a minimum for me to get a true reflection. If the club/team is in relatively good standing when a manager arrives I think they have a lesser workload so should be able to tweak things to success more quickly as a result. Scfc has been far from in a good standing for years, nobody was clicking their fingers and fixing this team/club Neil walked into. Changing it could set us back seasons and it will be the same old story, manager in, season wasted, players out, new players in, impatient fans, rinse and repeat. No, I'd rather see it through, we've come so far I don't want more upheaval. We've got no long term players here because they're always changed within a season, ever likely there is no players to call a team core that rally the group, no I.d or captain material or team spirit. It's embarrassing and the supporters demanding change all the time prolongs this crap. No, a full season for me, minimum. If building a successful team was art, our art is thrown away at the end of the day and we start again with a fresh piece of paper the next day expecting a da vinci by 4p.m and then get pissy when it isn't. We never get anywhere doing that, we have proven it time and time again

Our club success come from Tony Pulis being in the job for a number of seasons, he was able to build a spine of players to compliment upon, these players stayed for a number of years but they didn't arrive overnight. As soon as his spine of players left Mark Hughes' team collapsed , numerous 'quick fixes' have been and gone since and the team and club have never recovered. Stoke fans had more patience then, now it's as if we're entitled to be a Premiership club and there is no patience, it's ridiculous

I suspect with the huge influx of new players he's got until Christmas at least. Bear in mind though that the above is completely down to him and the recruitment team that he himself wanted. The next 6 or so games are crucial to his survival.

Stoke/Coates will not sack AN. But if i could just suggest another role for AN without a sacking. Build some stocks at the newly touted fanzone. Lock him in there until the match is over and let all the kids throw food at him. It will be a sell out event every match day. The bloke can not keep hanging on much longer. We are becoming a laughing (stock).....

Early in the second half 2 will go off injured leaving 3 year old Jacob to stumble along until full time on his own.
