I think we will be in or around the bottom three by the start of New Year. I am pretty disappointed with AN's performance so far (last season and this season) and the injuries are just exacerbating our situation. The question the board will have to answer is whether they believe in AN enough to give him the January window. The injuries are papering over how bad he's been and a further excuse to add to the list. We can't use Tezgel and Mmaee as excuses for me up front as neither have ever scored a League goal. Yeah probably agree with this. Even when all our CH’s were fit weve never looked solid at the back Offensively, and Im thinking Vidigal and Mmae, theres probs a bigger argument for injuries affecting us

Yeah probably agree with this. Even when all our CH’s were fit weve never looked solid at the back Offensively, and Im thinking Vidigal and Mmae, theres probs a bigger argument for injuries affecting us There’s a lot being said about Mmae’s absence and how that’s affecting us. He isn’t a proven striker at this level, at least at this point, and in his first few games there was definitely a noticeable lack of physicality in his game, despite his obvious quality. I’m not so sure his absence is affecting us as badly as many think, to me he looked like a player that needs a season in England before we see anything near his best. What was missed this summer was a proven centre forward, and a proven and experienced centre back - they were absolute must haves. Another LB you could argue too, definitely so after he sold Tymon near the end of the window, which looks more and more stupid as the season unfolds. In short, injuries are affecting us, yes, but in my view we are still going to be in a relagation fight this year even when we have a full squad to choose from because we are poor in both boxes

It's hard looking at the table at the moment when newly promoted Ipswich are 18 points clear of us after 11 games, that puts everything in perspective. It's amazing what a plan and a good manager can do, he took an underperforming team in 2021 and improved them getting 11th place, 2022 automatic promotion, 2023 2nd in the championship after 11 games. Yet we waddle on with a manager whose record defies description, who didn't improve the players at his disposal last year, in fact we went backwards and has started this year in reverse. There shouldn't be any debate about whether he should stay or go, it should be a given considering his record and the abysmal football he's mostly churned out.

Weve flirted enough with a relegation battle in recent years, sooner or later we are going to be in one. This next month will tell us a lot Don't think we have flirted - more like in the thick of it year on year. We were rock bottom when we scored two goals in the last minute against Wednesday on boxing day to win the game, still think had we lost that game we would have gone, but those goals and that match gave the team confidence to go on a bit of a run that year and get us over the line that season. We are bang in the thick of another one and look utterly lost and lack any quality or quantity in defence, with our only decent defender out for the rest of the season by the looks and set for yet another season of square pegs in defensive positions. Radical changes needed at the club - and not just the manager

We were never in a relegation battle in MON's 2 full seasons when we finished with 60 and 62 points, and moaned about only finishing in 14th place. In fact we were actually in/around the top 6 rather than the bottom 3 at times in both seasons. AN has been a bitter disappointment and while we know that he is a poor manager, we have to hope that he is a lucky one. By the end of the year we will have played another 14 games and if we can get 16 points from them, we should be alright. What may be a bit hard on the nerves is that we don't play all the relegation candidates till next April. At the end of the year someone is going to have to decide whether to trust AN to spend money wisely. January is never a great time to be shopping.

Sunderland 4th too after making the play offs last season in their first season back at this level and without a defence or a recognised Striker for the last 5 months of the season too. Yet we are told that we have to give him time, the injuries have decimated us. Bollocks, look what Mowbray had to contend with last season and they nearly went fucking up!

Injuries or no injuries, he's had more than enough time since being appointed to show he's got what it takes to at the very least get a top half finish. Sadly we are languishing in 21st and with a makeshift defence, hit and miss midfield, and lacklustre attack. Not exactly the main attributes of a team on the up. Added to this AN is constantly changing formations and has left most people wondering if he even knows what he's trying to achieve.
He should already be gone, but defeat to Sunderland may well seal his fate, especially if the crowd turns.

Or does he still have fan support in the stadium?

Even when gelled I have serious concern that this group of players (with some exceptions) are not up to the required standard and will struggle. We have no spine to the side which is a basic. Not a Pessimist, concerned Pragmatist in reality

Neil has shown nothing to show this can happen, as I said he couldn’t improve the players he had last season and that’s a red flag for me, especially as we actually went backwards even after getting players he wanted in January.

Is all there for a competent manager I suspect we will find out from Mod nov onwards and hope your right and we like Sunderland’s under keane or forest under Coper catch fire bit for me anyone who gets 50 points out of this squad would be a genius especially with Campbell injured . we had a few decent championship players last year Wilmot Brown , Tymon , Campbell , Powell , Fox , Jagielka , all gone and none rpelaced by anything better if at all courtesy of Martins nonsense and Jareds’ crap computer and Neils complete loss of balance

We just need a manager who has a plan on how he can work with the players we have , not pick a different side most weeks and throw subs at it when it falls flat again.
