Let’s face it, the only constant factor in our 7 year demise is the owners. Time to sell to someone that knows how to run a business. Just don't think we need to sell just get rid of the chairman and appoint someone who can run a football club

No way on earth he'll survive this weekend he just can't. The board have always been too kind and too forgiving. I doubt they'll have a back up plan until it's too late. Reactive rather than pro active springs to mind

If he stays, we'll go down. Not disagreeing with you after today's performance. Relegation written all over it. Just out of interest, does AN have a relegation on his CV?

Managers very rarely resign nowadays given how much compensation they’re due when they’re sacked. It’s multi millions so anyone would tough it out until the owner eventually pulls the trigger. Absolutely I've always hated a bloke being shit at his job and walking away with wedges of cash if you get sacked you should get fuck all because you're shit at the job like most ordinary folk. Agreed - it’s stupid you’re automatically entitled to millions in compensation if you’re sacked as a manager in the top 2 divisions usually. Managers, politicians & bankers - the three jobs that pay failures.

I have no idea why Alex Neil is still in a job tonight. He has to go and very very quickly. Because decent people act in a respectful manner so that it helps to attract a decent replacement. I think that’s proven to be nonsense in football. You line up your replacement behind the back of the incumbent because doing anything else gives a perception of an institution in crisis and potential candidates disappear like mist. It’s a cut throat dirty world and playing the old fashioned honourable gent gets you taken for a mug.

Correct decision made is one thing which it is , communicating it another abd of course a factor is a game on Tuesday We won’t have a new manager by Tuesday so appearing insensitive and disrespectful by making an announcement tonight makes little difference. Agree no way will it be communicated before Monday , possibly even Wednesday but he’s done

It's strange that when we had this good spell against better teams we pressured high (at times) as we supposed to do, and it worked. Against so called weaker teams we seemed to have all but deserted this tactic.
It's very worrying that our quality of play varies this much as it does. I call it weak management, the points from Sheffield W would be as valuable as the points from the likes of Leeds. To be honest this has been going on for years now under the different managers, and yes, it's baffling me! The potential is there, but we seem constantly failing to get the results when we are the favourites.

In league games 60 18 13 29 68 74 67 2 more points than Boskamp in 9 more games! Wow, Gudjon Thordarson is in a league of his own. Over 1.75pts per game!!

It'd be nice if we could have some kind of definitive sign the change would come before Tuesday, just to settle things down. The thought of a pig-headed, lunatic decision to make him go through the ignominy of being in the dugout against Swansea is very unsettling. The trouble is we've been allowed to fall so far off the group of clubs anybody pays any attention to, we're an irrelevance, so there is just no discussion of us

Well the players don't like him and the fans don't like him . Doesn't take a genius to realise this is only ending one way. He's going Or could be AN and the players don’t like the fans?

It's just the same old shit season in and season out, we will no doubt dither until halfway through January at least, wasting another transfer window and not giving the new manager the chance to assess what's in the building and have the opportunity to at least attempt to strengthen in a few of the many areas we are deficient in.

The fans are the least of our issues. This is just the words of a supporter who has backed the wrong horse and is struggling to dismount.
20k crowds despite finishing in the bottom half 5 times out of 5 is anything but fickle.

I think the opposite of this is true, make us hard to beat and get after the opposition (especially at home) and Stoke fans will back you. Instead Neil has talked a good game but delivered an absolutely woeful home record (and away…) with no discernible style of play. The Dorian Gray of average Championship managers.

They say the hight of stupidity is doing the same things over and over again and hope for a different outcome and sadly as fans that's what we do, day in day out, week in week out, year in year out and so on!
