What have we done to deserve a conveyor belt of managers totally obsessed with playing players out of position, leaving out the best performers of late and pick underperorming ones ?

Another one who picks his mates.
We will not get anywhere under this bloke and that’s an absolute fact.

Those two wins on the bounce change everything.
Now if we look at the last five games, probably the toughest sequence this season, he's taken 9 points in five games against bristol, Southampton, Leicester, Sunderland, Leeds.
He's earned our backing now, and there's a decent run of winnable games coming after Saturday.

Absolutely cockwomble Have a day off, it must really piss you off that you've nailed your colours firmly to the mast. Back to back wins against two top champo teams, why? Because this is Alex Neil's team and now they're gelling and starting to understand what the manager wants them to do

Credit where credit is due tonight but he has a long way to go to convince me he’s the man to take us anywhere near the top 6

Masssive result that, fair play to the players and management team 👏🏻 must admit I was certainly on the fence with him but they’re certainly improving with every game. Free hit at Middlesbrough for me, then hopefully grow into these fixtures … cmon stoke!

We've had to gel 18 new players and for a good few games we've had a shit load of injuries. Now you're watching a near full strength team that is starting to gel, it's no coincidence we look a different outfit

That win is a launchpad. Some winnable games to launch us up the table at hand are coming up. The players seem up for it. Neil needs to capitalize and push em on with even more getting back to health. Huge moment in the season the next few weeks. Can make or break my Christmas.

Stay within touching distance of the playoffs until January then make a couple or so additions that we missed out on in the summer then we could be in for a much better second half of the season.
Keep it up boys

I have been critical of AN and I still don't understand his reluctance to involve junior and junho but he's had a good week.
One thing I will same for him , is that he has got the players at it , they are putting in a shift and playing as a team.
Which gives you a chance, against most teams in the championship.
One or two of the players on the pitch look useful, I was impressed that when Hoever worked wonders to keep the ball in play and put a cross in , who should land on it ? Vidigal. No surprise there. He sees things that little bit earlier than defenders , a very useful skill !
And Travers looks quality too .
I would love AN to prove me wrong.
He has a chance, if he can keep the players at it .
Good luck to him and well done the whole team for showing some fight .

Anyone with half a brain knew that it would take a while to get this team to gel. We're not there yet and I expect it will take another month or so before we are a great side. Two fantastic home wins and some people on here are either stubborn or thick to suggest that he should be sacked. Stop making yourselves look silly and back him. Admitting you're wrong is a strength, not a weakness.

Let's not get gloss over the fact the game was there for the taking tonight and yet again he was too slow in making subs, they made three and instantly win a penalty. If someone other than Bamford doesn't take it, they go 1-0 up, our heads drop, he makes 3 desperation subs and we lose the game.

I find it hilarious reading back through this thread and I can only imagine that there would be an additional 30 pages on this thread if we'd have lost last night.

He did say he was readying subs when they got the penalty after their changes. He maybe needs to reflect and be a bit more proactive with subs and get in first?

I think he'll continue to ease Junior and Bae into the team. Junior is our future right back and Hoever is rated by Neil. Bae could probably have come on last night to replace a tiring Johnson and I hope to see him get some time against Boro. It'll be useful to get Clarke fit and available as we'll certainly need him. He's had a nightmare with injuries but with an almost full complement he needs to be more proactive with changes. I'm feeling more relieved and hopeful today.

Crazy how there are so many so adamantly against him, no matter what. You just know they are waiting for the next time to stick the boot in. "Poor start" to the season, as we sit 4 points from the play off positions. If we were sat up in 11th and 4 points off, it'd be a completely different story. We've been poor at certain points for sure but, for me, considering the amount of new players we've had it's a perfectly fine start to the season. The trouble is, at this point of the season and with the way this league is, the tide can change very quickly. Just try and enjoy this season and see where we go. I fancy us to do something this year.
