It's not worth getting into a conversation with you when you're in gaslighting mode. Yes, I agree- we should have pressed a button in May and all the players should have been teleported here in time for pre-season. Shame on us. Booooooo. We could have signed Rob Dickie and Tyler Roberts early in, come on. Scholes out I mean Hoever Vidigal Pearson Rose Chiquinho McNally Mmaee all really could have been done quicker. None were replaced at their clubs etc. But it doesn’t matter now as long as it carries on working.

Including the people who said you cant do it in one window and were panicking after 6 transfers. Your argument is utter shite, they’ve done it in super quick time and it has been a bit like football manager with the speed they’ve got so many in. You were saying only about 4 posts ago that we should have done all this business before pre-season, were you not? As if it's as easy as just pressing a button, which it clearly isn't. Some deals can be done quickly, sure- others take a long time and are complicated. This is what you don't seem to grasp- that real life is not a computer game.

You talk absolute shite.

But overall they’ve done the business remarkably speedily and lots of it and lots more still to come. I do grasp it. I think Football Manager comparisons are always done lazily with little knowledge and show an ailing argument. They’ve turned 13/14 transfers around in a matter of months. Something a lot of people were scared about for some reason despite having a squad that had about 3 players worth keeping in.

Because it's just so easy to go out and sign all the players you want at the touch of a button isn't it? Too much Football Manager. And a reminder that was it. And they’ve shown it’s damn easy when done right. And it’s proven many of us (me included) absolutely wrong. Yeah, I'm sure it's been a piece of piss.

They’ve done a great job overall and proven most of us wrong for one reason or another.

Some deals can be done quickly, sure- others take a long time and are complicated. This is what you don't seem to grasp- that real life is not a computer game. I always think it should be done quicker and there’s about 6/7 that there weren’t seemingly good reasons for that. But overall they’ve done the business remarkably speedily and lots of it and lots more still to come. I do grasp it. I think Football Manager comparisons are always done lazily with little knowledge and show an ailing argument. They’ve turned 13/14 transfers around in a matter of months. I know exactly what Football Manager is, how it works and have played it for years. It's an absolutely gold mine of data and information. However, it isn't sophisticated enough to replicate the human element of complex transfers. You seem to think that everything in real life literally works like it does in a game. Again, 'the seemingly good reasons' could actually be numerous reasons that you or I know fuck all about. Players could have other potential deals lined up; agents might be trying to squeeze more money out of us; a player might have some family issue going on. We are not party to enough knowledge to make statements about whether deals should have been done quicker. On one hand you're acknowledging that the amount of transfer business we've done is an achievement (it is) but then on the other seem to be moaning (shock, horror) that it wasn't done faster.

It’s a completely lazy arsed argument. Always has been, always will be. For the very reasons you have stated!

There's only one thing laughable here, and that's you trying to gaslight everybody to try and distract from making ridiculous statements about how fast transfers should be done. 'I know enough' Fuck off do you. You get some bits of inside information about who we're after now and again- big deal. You're not there with Jared Dublin are you doing the actual negotiating? Based on what you're saying here though, perhaps you should be? You'd be getting all these deals over the line in super-quick time by pressing a button on your mouse while our recruitment team just sit with their thumbs up their arses wasting time. 'Aw, fucking hell chaps, it was a piece of piss all along. We've wasted weeks on this transfer and all we had to do was click the 'continue' button. Thanks, bayern, you've shown us the way.'

Those that stubbornly refuse to see see and acknowledge when they are mistaken have often spent all their life running away from some kind of insecurity...the ego protects itself in all kinds of strange ways My first post on this matter is me praising them and saying they’ve proven me wrong. I think the nonsense about it not being able to do it one window because it’s not football manager has been blown up too. They absolutely have done that. Trousers’ argument is complete shite. Just like mine was at the start of the window. We knew we needed 12-14 players before the end of last season. It needed to be done, whether a slower process or fast. As has been pointed out to you several dozen times, these deals are not as simple as you think. For example, it was highly unlikely Burger or Mmaee would have been here until it was clear how their clubs performed in their European prelims. Hiding behind false praise whilst still heavily criticising the club doesn't wash. People were knickerwetting (you included) because we hadn't signed half of these players before 10th July, back yourselves into a corner for nothing. Also I dont know why you are praising them, you said we needed 9-10 STARTING players, but we haven't dont that and unlikely will. Wilmot, Hoever, Stevens, Johnson, Laurent are all likely to play the majority of the minutes until at least January. What these signings represent is a bright future, with an eye for a profit and establishing our club as a place to develop for ambitious players outside the UK.

Outside of the hindsight henry "It'll be alright on the night" routine that many trotted out I didn't see much in the way of anyone spelling out how or why it would be alright? The harsh truth is anyone with half a brain cell was worried about a club needing 12+ players off the back of 6 years of absolutely shite recruitment. Some were prepared to put their thoughts down on screen, others chose to stay quiet and hope. Not one person predicted we'd appoint a bona fide recruitment specialist like this and go marauding around Europe and beyond like a spotty teenager playing Football Manager whilst smacked off his tits on Red Bull.

I always use it to cross reference players and really enjoy seeing how accurate the ratings are in real life. Bayern is also right when he says it's a crap argument that football professionals have started to use to try and shut down debate from non football professionals in press conferences when they are feeling a bit of pressure. It's a garbage argument IMO and a bit naughty from an industry that ironically is starting to use it more and more as a tool to help them. In our case, I think it's a massive relief that we seem to have come through a late rebuild with a very decent points return early doors, which can only help in the mid to long term. I still maintain it could have gone horribly wrong. Thank god it hasn't.

Of course no one could have predicted this, but it was ridiculous for people to get hysterical because we hadn't made multiple signings by the first week of July. It made sense to have some patience and see how it unfolded. Had we entered August with little action then fine, fire away. It was all just unnecessary really...

Just go back and read the transfer thread between 15th of June and 15th July. There were loads saying we won't sign anyone and relegation looms, there were suggestions of resigning clucas in desperation. All very pathetic, but pretty normal behaviour from certain folk, you included.
