9 million euro,s someone is having a laugh at that price he is john Coates favourite player he will not sell the crown jewell for that pittance, fuck off Feyenoord youconna afford him They can afford him easily. They just sold a player to Brighton for 30mil, their manager went to Liverpool for 10Mil. They have the money. But I am not sure they will want to spend 12mil plus on Bae. Well I hope they don't anyway 🤣

Reading some of the replies it seems like a lot of fans think we're still in the PL. If we were, this move would be a non starter and we'd be rifling through their squad. However, we're bottom feeders in the Championship and Feyenoord are a super club in comparison with an open gate to the CL and beyond.
All it takes is one really good season and he's at Brighton for 30M, or even a Dortmund et al.
He'll know it, his agent will know it, Feyenoord will know it and deep down so do Stoke.

If it was Sheffield United, Burnley or another parachute club I'd say block it and carry on, but this is different level. Get an auction going if you can, else get what you can and take a long look in the mirror as to how we got into this mess in the first place, reinvest the money and move on. There's a far bigger game to play here from the clubs perspective.

He absolutely wouldn't be the sort to force anything or sulk. He knows he is loved here by fans and his teammates so I do believe it won't be an easy decision for him to move.

We have highly likely promised not to stand in his way in such a progressive move but even if we haven't, why would we stand in his way? This is the game, this is the model, we need to trust in it and keep at it. It's disappointing for if he goes but it is what it is

If he stays, there will be Prem sides sniffing before too long,he must know he will get a bigger salary in the Prem, than at Feyenood.
Plus we would get more money from a prem. side.

It's disappointing for if he goes but it is what it is Spot on, the model and the bigger game at play is changing the clubs perception in world football from a club that is a last pay day for 30+ players to one that will take bright young prospects, develop them for a season or two and move them on to bigger and better things. Get that reputation and your recruitment does itself as you'll have a long line of agents offering their players to you, offering to grease the wheels for a cheap deal with their client's current club safe in the knowledge a nice little earner is just around the corner. They aren't daft. Eventually you end up in a situation where you have that many on the go at the same time you find yourself back in the PL and a club that is FFP rich to boot.

Bae leaving now is akin to Morgan Rodgers leaving Boro in January and he arguably had less of an impact at Boro than Bae has at Stoke.
Albeit Rodgers has the English tax when it comes to his fee but I fell we should be looking around the same ballpark.

www.teamtalk.com/stoke-city/exclusive-feyenoord-gunning-8-million-potters-raid-premier-league-bundesliga-interestStoke City star Bae Jun-Ho is picking up interest from numerous clubs and Feyenoord are determined to sign him in a statement deal, sources have confirmed to TEAMtalk. Feyenoord strongly believe that a deal is there to be done and that an £8million offer would make Stoke think about selling him. However, Stoke sources have rebuffed this and stated that they have not put a price tag on their key man. Stoke view Bae as a crucial player in their bid to reach the play-offs during the 2024-25 season. Feyenoord are not the only side who hold genuine interest in Bae. Sources have revealed that clubs in the Bundesliga and Serie A are keen, while three Premier League sides have made Stoke aware they are monitoring his progress. This is something that will be on the mind of the two-cap South Korean international. He will be aware that a Premier League move could be on the cards in 2025 if he performs at a high level for Stoke.

Taking this on face value both club and player should wait for bigger clubs /clubs from a top 5 league to come in for him Stoke need to have a list of replacements ready Best case scenario is we keep him till next summer and sell then for much higher fee Well that's the second best case scenario, best would be he stays and we go up

And i'd only be happy if it happened quickly so we have time to spend it. None of this selling a day before deadline day shit then giving us no time to replace him

So we should sell our most prized asset because it's a good opportunity for him....
He is under contract so the fact that it's a good opportunity should have no bearing at all.
We sell him on our grounds..
He's the difference between promotion and will be worth £20m plus next year. No sense at all in selling him now.

There is a big difference between 'standing in his way of a great move' and doing what is the right business for the club.
Anything under £10m is less than his market value, we are well within our rights to turn that down and the player isn't going to kick up a fuss if we do.
We are in a strong position to rightly demand something in the £10m - £15m range, if no club meets that valuation he stays until at least the next transfer window; it's hardly holding him to ransom is it.
