I’m trying not to get my hopes up re anything at the minute but what a transformation it is even if this lad doesn’t arrive. We needed a new squad pretty much and they’ve gone out and done it/are doing it. Absolute madness and a strange feeling after years of the club doing exactly what you think they shouldn’t be doing to doing pretty much exactly what you think they should be doing. Makes your meltdown in early summer seem more and more ridiculous with every day Too late to be accepted into the Happy 👏👏👏 club though. |

It’s beginning take the piss now. I play loads of football manager and watch loads of obscure football and have always prided myself on being quite aware of quite a few players and leagues. As of this moment I’m out, Dublin must have a larger database loaded up and a massive satellite dish on his house as we are fishing in some obscure ponds 😂

Bayern is right, this window shows if nothing else, our transfer policy and the club in general, seems to be emerging from the dark ages. It might not all gel and come to fruition immediately, but a step or large steps in the right direction. And all this progress has come with John Coates at the helm  JC and Mrs JC are as good an owners as we could ever have . |

All the Sentinul ‘reporters’ do is trawl Faceache for reports of idiots from London denied travel because their passports don’t have long enough left on them or some single mother of 5 from Hull who’s one bedroom flat is full of mould. Can’t remember the last time I read a properly constructed and thoroughly researched article like that about anything let alone a footballer. Still I’m sure the Sentivale will let us know which filling he likes best in his oatcake if he does sign. |

Time and patience will be important with some of these signings. Brentford followed a similar model but for every Maupay, Benrahma and Mbeumo they also had a list of overseas players who didn't work out (including developmental talent purchased for their B team).
Even so, it looks like our due diligence is very good and it's a positive to see we're trying a different approach.

The way football is going you could actually see the likes of Man City/Man Utd/Chelsea have an office full of Jared's poached from clubs around the world, how long before we have to loan directors of football, scouts, coaches for massive loan fees? |
