He’s staying 100% this window
Feyenoord have cooled any interest due to cost
They have instead signed Facundo Buonanotte from Brighton . Bae would cost 20+ , something they don’t have .

This would suggest so, similar type. If so, great news.

Probably doesn't mean anything - but the Brighton winger not going to Feyenoord now 1908.nl/artikelen/facundo-buonanotteBuonanotte does not choose Feyenoord Feyenoord and Brighton were already agreed and Facundo Buonanotte's salary could also be met. However, the player chooses differently Southampton is as reported last night now the biggest contender for the Argentinian: the 19-year-old can end up there under head coach Russell Martin, who had previously held Feyenoord high as a possible successor to the Arne Slot that left for Liverpool. Buonanotte can count on playing time at Southampton; much more than he would get behind Calvin Stengs at Feyenoord. Feyenoord does not panic and discusses on which target it switches itself. In theory, Jun-ho Bae of Stoke City remains a candidate for that.

As much as I’d like him and we need him, it’s not worth the risk for one game.

Do we know what part of his body he’s injured?
It appears to lack depth, just high level that could be applied to anything or nothing.

Slightly disconcerting is Smozics price is 9m plus add-ons. A 33 goal striker for 10m. Where does that leave us at the negotiating table if Fulham/ Feyenoord are up for it?

I rate Szmodics but as a financial investment Bae is worth more.

Shirts sales and promotion of Stoke City in the region etc.

Bae is about to turn 21. The market for players of those ages is vastly different as one will have fairly limited resale value and one will have potentially huge resale value.

Szmodics has a strange history never having threatened the top scorer charts before last year. I think a lot of teams would gave been cautious about spending a lot on him. It will be interesting to see what happens this season and if Ipswich get relegated whether he does it for them in the Championship.

Hes young, ceiling is much higher than Szmodics. You open up Asia from a commercial perspective. You've seen Smzmodics go for 9mil which I think is a good deal allround. He's worth that considering absolutely no re-sale value.

Hypothetically if Bae has a season anywhere near as good as Szmodics’s last one we’d get a much higher transfer fee than Blackburn are getting because he’s much younger. That being said, Szmodics is reportedly being sold for £9m potentially rising to £11m. That’s the same ballpark that we’ve sold our other bright young players for recently (Collins and Souttar) so I don’t think the suggestion that we could get that much for Bae is as laughable as you think it is. He does probably need to add a bit more output in terms of goals and assists before anyone’s willing to pay that much though.
