I dont mind Leris I think he has something to offer but I think the player will push for this move. He's going to be second fiddle to Million for most of the season and he'll want to go and play for a manager that rates him highly. There’s nothing much not to like about him. Inconsistent touch and control and one of the worst foul throws I’ve ever seen. Mainly he’s quite endearing but he’s taking up an attacking slot and very rarely provides any end product either here or anywhere else he’s been.

Few tweets around this morning indicating that a deal has been done...which is interesting wonder if the trialist lad, Onyedinma will be replacement?

3M would be a great price for him, and a huge victory for the data driven approach to recruitment.

A second Italian paper seems to be reporting it now www.calciopisa.it/2024/08/02/pisa-in-arrivo-leris-dallo-stoke-city/As both Il Tirreno and La Nazione report, the Nerazzurri have reached an agreement with both the player and the Stoke City. The hardest part was convincing the English club playing in the Championship, but the deal eventually broke deadlock. There is talk of a figure slightly higher than three million euros and a three-year contract for the former Chievo Verona, Brescia and Sampdoria.

It could all be done on Zoom and signed electronically for all I know. The only thing he might need to be physically present for is the medical.

Do we have an idea what he cost us? the fee was undisclosed at the time wasn't it?

Do we have an idea what he cost us? the fee was undisclosed at the time wasn't it? If you look at the first few pages of this thread, seems to be widely reported at about 1m euros in Italy and the Sentinel

There was obviously something buried in the deeper data that recommended him. Think I’d prefer we aimed for something a bit more obvious.

We should replace him with a right back the equivalent of Enda Stevens for experience on the right like we have on the left.

I’d have kept him, but €3m you can’t say no.
That’s about the money we played for Million isn’t it?
Let’s go and sign a left sided million (Still praying for Krijstan Lovric) and move Bae to 10.
Wintle as a 6 and burger as a 8.
We are cooking.

Good business for both parties methinks

It seems Inzaghi disagrees with you Then again, his work rate is more of a rarity in Italian footie than in the championship. Good business for both parties methinks I don’t see how he can. His output has been abysmal throughout his career. Hence there was something buried in the deeper data that led us to sign him though having managed him before Inzaghi doesn’t have to rely on the data at all. He’ll know why he wants him and I’d be very surprised if he expected his output to suddenly jump significantly.
