Brown was crap for stoke. He couldn't trap a ball. Couldn't pass. It suits him playing in a team that is playing defensive route one football. But he does seem to have improved a lot at Luton, which illustrates how crap coaching and management has been at stoke, and maybe that the player never really liked playing for stoke I disagree. He wasn't crap for Stoke at all. There were elements to his game that frustrated, but he worked his bollocks off every game and was effective despite having some obvious flaws in his game. If he'd got an excellent touch and passing ability to go with the work-rate and knack for goals that he had, he'd never have been at a team like Stoke. This. I think that Brown got a lot of unfair criticism. The lad ran himself into the ground every week and, although he was far from perfect technically, he still popped up with a good number of goals. I think he get 13 in the league in his best year for us - not nad bearing in mind he was used across a multitude of positions. Can you think of anyone in our current squad who is capable of hitting double figures? |

I think I was being generous back in August, I'm fully convinced he's shit now. He hasn't played for months and I didn't think he was terrible yesterday. He had confidence back in August which he needs to rediscover but it will take a bit of time. I remember people saying (including me) that him, Mmaee and Vidigal would keep Campbell out of the side. They don't suddenly become bad for no reason. Not that I think Mmaee has looked anything but good recently. I'm sorry but I just can't have that, he's technically awful. The couple of goals he's scored have proven to be utter flukes. His record before joining Stoke was awful for an attacking player as well. |

Leris was a regular in Serie A. We were shit with Brown and he played his part in that. We fleeced them. Happy days. Leris was a utility player holding no set position down for a team relegated from serie A....he was, like a number of others signed purely to boost the numbers of the squad. Squad player at best. Sampdoria won 3 games all season and were 12 points from safely. They did a Derby or a 1984/85 Stoke. |

He'll get my support when he's got the red and white stripes on. First Algerian to play for Stoke? How is it negative so say his stats haven't been very impressive for a 25 year old professional footballer? it's clearly making an opinion on facts.. Against Leeds I thought he was probably our best player. I’m not saying he’s a world beater, but the reaction to a few bad games is OTT. Confidence has a huge role to play at this level - all of these players have got ability - but it’s getting them confident in what they are doing and working on improving them that is the art of management. Right now we are a struggling side with a lot of new players that haven’t played in this league - and we’ve just gotten rid of one of the worst managers I’ve seen in my lifetime at Stoke - so a bit of patience is required. Writing people off now helps nobody |

He was utter dogshit today. He's lightweight (jibs out of every challenge), got no touch, no pace, no trickery, can't cross and today he stopped doing the only thing he's done well regularly, winning headers. But other than that he was class. Having said all that he wasn't even our worst player. Stevens, Mmaee and Clark share that honour. Mind you had they been on longer I'm certain Hoever and Wesley would have been vying for bottom spot. Two of the worst cameo performances I've seen for a long while. I disagree about jibbing out of challenges. Just after he got a whack in the face he put a sliding tackle in on the leftback as they were clearing to keep the pressure on. |

I'm most confident about Burger but if they all come good by the end of the season then that's a great hit rate for a transfer team. The jury is still out on them though.
